Yep, Hutson was also the Packers kicker.

Did he miss 2 XPs that quarter? I'm seriously trying to figure out how he got 29, without looking it up. That's a weird number for football scoring.

My dad (still living) saw Hutson play. Got to see one of the greatest performances in NFL history. Hutson scored 29 points in a quarter, which is a record that may never be broken.
He also was a great DB. In that era they played on both offense and defense.

3 TDs, 2 FGs and 1 Safety = 29

Did he get any of those points on kicks? I know that there were no kicking specialists back in those days. A part of me kinda wishes that the NFL would go back to those ways. LOL.

I see that he did get some of the points on kicks. Thanks for sharing that. I love history. I'm also a track guy, so I love learning about which football players also ran track and what times they achieved.

I wish one of the Niners' track stars, Goodwin, could achieve more on the field. At least, our other former track star, Mostert, is getting a lot done right now.

Damn, I knew that we should've made Jerry Rice our kicker as well. Then Rice would be the all time leading scorer instead of it being Adam Vinatieri.

Do you even know what "of all time" means? You should look it up, the NFL started way before 1980
