And there goes our season.

Why even show up tomorrow?

Well, Tanaka's pitching, right?

Still, this is a HUGE loss for a potential LDS. The fact that he would do this right now says to me that this is deadly serious, and he means business.

I am genuinely proud of him. I hope he gets the help he needs.

He was our best pitcher since he came back. ERA just over 2 since returning from the DL

So the question becomes: how much was the booze helping, or hurting?

Our manager was an idiot who decided to pitch our closer 5 days in a row, and uses up all our bullpen bullets to get the ball to him.

This was out of control. It's pretty-much taboo to use a bullpen guy even THREE days in a row. I can't imagine the last time a guy was used 5 days in a row. It's probably safe to assume that guy doesn't have Boras as an agent.

I still call it Jacob's Field.

Same here! It'll always be The Jake to me!

Indians closed out the season like world-beaters. Look out for them in the playoffs! I'm not sure how Tito skates by unscathed.

Probably because it was a shitty team.

Sounds sexy, but how can I get psyched for my BEEEEEEloved hockney and babskittball teams, whatever they are?

It sucks that baseball season is over. I can't pretend to give a shit about the NHL or NBA, and the NFL is a hard product to watch, too. I even been betting more this year to try and keep my interest and STILL couldn't watch for very long.

Bullshit. Joe Maddon makes the playoffs with that same roster. How many managers would cream themselves to have a rotation featuring Kluber, Salazar & Carrasco(Bauer and Tomlin seem OK too)? Add to that a future star in Lindor with Brantley and Santana and Kipnis. That team should have been in the mix this year and CERTAINLY should have finished above the Twins.
