Yeah, Strickland gave up a huge hit and a HR and he's yelling at them? :L

We still got 9 outs to get it back. A little over optimistic but it is baseball and these are our Giants.

Not willing to give up on him completely, but he was simply taken out of the oven too soon.

I think he might be able to be a good pitcher, but not in these playoffs. Confused why Boch had so much confidence in him since he usually is the best at this kind of stuff.

Have Strickland move in with the Posey family during the offseason. Learn how to keep a level head in this game.
Or better yet, let him hang with Bum. Bumused to be a hot head as well. He's still intense but almost never loses his focus.

Strickland is not ready to be a late-inning reliever. Needs another season in the minors

Sure hope so ... but not a given. I agree with mays-fan. Fastball has little or no movement. maybe you get away with that in the minors. (95 is still fast. But at the MLB level they will just mash it time and time again. I still have visions of Harper taking him deep ... and deeper ... just crushed the damn ball.

I'm also not sure you can teach movement. Think they would have tried already ...

A hit by Panik here and suddenly there's a light at the end of the tunnel.

He seems to hide the ball well. If he's hitting his spots and has a good breaking ball, he can be effective (even with the lack of movement).

He's been very inconsistent with control. It's not like he's making great pitches on the corner and getting hit hard. His breaking balls with in the dirt or hangers. Fastball-FAT.

Maybe he needs more seasoning simply to learn another pitch. Does he throw a change up?
