2019 NHL Mock Draft - NHL - DraftSite.com
This mock draft Cole going at 23. i think its a stretch to pick him at 11.
If its time to take a swing why dont we get some prospects we have now that go along with some of this years pics in which we have 4 in the first 75 players chosen and move up and get an immediate impact player.Ya I've seen him at a bunch of slots between 11 and 23. 11 is the highest I've seen him.
The logic I read off the Athletic was, given the amount of prospects the Flyers have, this wouldn't be a bad time to take a home-run swing. Caufield will likely either be a really good, Gadreau/DeBrincat-type guy, or a bust. I can definitely see the logic in going for a home-run swing. The Flyers, at least before Fletch starts making moves, have a plethora of middle-six type forwards. They won't have room for the ones they have, it doesn't make sense to add another. If they don't move the pick, I like going for a 1st line caliber guy even if it's high risk.
Will be researching the draft more now. Fletch's comments about the draft the past few dayas make me think he's not real interested in moving the pick.
I've said it repeatedly, if you are playing hurt you are a detrement to your team. Don't be selfish, heal and come back 100%Flyers’ Shayne Gostisbehere admits to injury, pledges he will be much improved next season
If you remember Simmer said the same thing about his off year last season and it had no effect he still played bad this season.I've said it repeatedly, if you are playing hurt you are a detrement to your team. Don't be selfish, heal and come back 100%
True but I think he got to the point where he knew he was gone and quit playing lol.If you remember Simmer said the same thing about his off year last season and it had no effect he still played bad this season.
He is still not playing well even in Nashville.True but I think he got to the point where he knew he was gone and quit playing lol.
TBH I was never a huge fan, he was always just going to be PP guy and not much else, yes he had some heart but I want a guy who is consistant at all aspects of the game.He is still not playing well even in Nashville.

The Flyers have tried to sell a storyline that they are stocked with young talent in the pipeline, but every team has good young talent, and much of it has developed a whole lot quicker than the Flyers' has.
oh you mean like our very own JVRTBH I was never a huge fan, he was always just going to be PP guy and not much else, yes he had some heart but I want a guy who is consistant at all aspects of the game.
We have had so many coaches that haven't been good for this team. I have given up blaming the coaches. What's up guys???
I know a few are probably not happy Q is off the table,
I for one realize he's a damn good coach, but don't think he was the right fit for the youth on this team.
Bring them up and lets play!!The Flyers have tried to sell a storyline that they are stocked with young talent in the pipeline, but every team has good young talent, and much of it has developed a whole lot quicker than the Flyers' has.
This was the biggest misconception fans had about this team. Are we really as loaded as thought. I say bring up Frost and Farabee and see if they can play big boy hockey.
Exactly!oh you mean like our very own JVR
I'm not upset. But I think the longer Fletcher hesitates and just ends up extending Gordon sends a sure sign of unsureness to the rest of the team. What's up guys???
