Watching the games, I cant help but notice, because he nerves the hell out of me..... He spends more time just gliding around. The rest of the guys are skating their asses off and theres JVR, just gliding around like he's at the community skating rink.....
I think that you are right on that AMac can be decent at times but he's to up and down. Piss off as he's supposed to be the vet that helps the young guys around him. Imagine if they signed a better guy at the time instead...
He's definitely no Rick Tocchet but if he can score 30 every year I'll put up with him. This team feels closer than the results that's for sure will it change next year? I hope so..
If you score 30 and are on the ice for 40-50 every year is that conducive to a winning games?
Lot's of one dimensional players out there the key is to protect them with good coaching. Put your players in the best position to succeed. If he does major damage on the PP and limits the - on 5 on 5 then you win. Laine has the same issues right now but would you not take him? OV was the same way back too...
Patrick Laine makes 925K and Big Puss makes 8 million per. Not to mention laine is 21 and can learn to play other parts of the game and not a 10 year veteran. I think id take Laine over JVR in a nano second. this is a terrible comparison by you.

Not really comparing but just making a point that you have all round players, scorers, PK'ers, checkers, etc...they all form to make a team. Hard to find guys who can actually score 30 and do everything else 100%...rare birds.
