I actually thought JVR had one of his better game's his nongoal was money and he was hitting. Sanheim was phenomenonal too. They really have had shit luck when playing the teams they are chasing you have to win those...

I will agree as i saw him place two huge checks on the defense. Question is why cant he do this consistently and why does he disappear for 5-10 games at time

Tough to say on the Blues. Even like 2 months ago, I would've said absolutely. They really have been on a tear though.

If Frost is better than Laughton and he can move to 4th line center the team would be better...especially if they add another solid winger. Who do you like at wing? Lots of good UFA's I'm sure that they could find one....

I dont know whos out there that can kill penalties but we could certainly use another good penalty killer.

I agree with that. Doesn't necessarily have to be the same guy though.

And the PK has improved pretty dramatically since Gordon took over. They killed 73.5% up until Hak got fired (shockingly the Hawks are worse so that would only be 30th in the league). They've killed 82% since then (would be 6th). And since 1/5, it's been almost 84% which would be a tie for 3rd. Obviously goaltending plays a big part, but the PK is dramatically better (and very noticeably more aggressive) since Gordon took over.

Our entire defensive scheme is far better since Gordon took over. The 1-2-2 system is working for us and when we dont have a man in to fore check we go into the neutral zone trap. Defensively its like night and day.

Yep. I've liked Gordon quite a bit. If they can't land Q, I would be fine keeping Gordon next season I think. But if you have shot a Q, I think you have to take it.

I like the fact that the young players feel comfortable with Gordon as most of them have played for him. I dont think a player like Sanheim flourishes like this under a different coach.

TK one assist short of a Gordie Howe hat trick. I love his style of play. i wish we could take his heart and put it into everyone on the team.

Yep, agree with you there too. Myers the same way, he's played very well. Lindblom too. I wonder if we'll see the same in Morin.

TK has really upped his physical presence since the Simmer trade. When they drafted him I hoped he could become that 25-30 goal pest, similar to what Marchand is in Boston.

I could see that getting a little awkward. Could be some regret there, could be some loyalty to Gordon over Q, etc. I would think the Flyers would try to get him back in the AHL with the Phantoms, but if they keep rolling like this, I bet some NHL will want him.

I can see the Dabres making a change, although Pegula said Housley's job is safe. Not buying it. Too much talent on that team and underachieving.

Yep. And you have to think the basement dwellers would be looking for someone to teach the young guys. Ottawa, NJ, Detroit (if they ever get young guys). So I guess we'll see what happens. Gordon is certainly making a case to keep the job for me.
