Word around Philly is they may trade Simmer.....
Then pick him up when his contract is up at the end of the year.

Could make for some sneaky shit, but it'll be interesting to see how it plays out.
This would be interesting. :heh:

IMO We Cant lose Simmer for nothing i dont care if they are close to a spot or not.
Simmers trade value is going way up. Yes we are winning now but a solid Dman in our lineup may put us on a whole new level. I say if you can get a great deal for Simmer go for it.

Morning boys! I wonder if the Jackets will resellers at the deadline. They are going on a big downward spiral now. My question to you is will Panarin be available? Can we do a multiple team trade dealing picks, Simmer, and getting Panarin to us somehow?

Panarin is a UFA after this season. Do we risk him leaving after trading pieces for him?

I didn't realize he will be a UFA. Still, I'm sure Fletcher would only do this if there is some kind of an agreement of an extension.

Just read the Canes may be pulling back on Ferlund, keeping him as an "own rental" for a playoff push this year. That should drive Simmonds' value up too. Ferlund would be the only similar player on the market.

Could be GM speak of course, and things could change by 2/25, but worth noting.

Yep, i'm only trading for Panarin with an extension agreed to. He'll be far too costly to take that risk.

And I would consider that. I would think a deal with Voracek as the focal point could be very attractive to CBJ. Get a high end winger in to offset the loss of Panarin this season..

Would take more than just Voracek, but that might be an interesting option to them.

But just like Weise, he'll clear waivers and still be our problem.

Only for a few more months. His contract expires at the end of the year.

It's nice to be clearing the deadweight (Lehtera/Weise) off the roster.
