Flyers goalie Carter Hart named NHL Rookie of the Month for January

I read an article where he is running third right now for the rookie of the year.

It looks like both the Sabres and Jackets are slipping, but are they would card teams or on the bubble? I hate that here we are in this position being how and yet too far behind at this point. Really a bummer.

We do this 12-15 game run every season and other than Sanheim and Hart all our young players were on the team for our great second half run last year. Why didn't it work out for this season?

Going through 7 goalies will F up any team especially a young defensive team. Easy goals deflate teams and there were lots of those. You can see a confidence in them now as Hart keeps them in games.

Fairly big trade, but massive is a bit of a stretch haha. Still mostly bottom six players, maybe Brassard/Bjugstad could be classified as middle six.

Unfortunately, I like that deal for the Pens though.

I think it weakened the pens as those panther players are very up and down. Brassard never fit in but he's the best player. Panthers will probably flip him though. Sheahan is a very good bottom six as well...

Wow! These Flyers will not die. This team looks entirely different now than where they were weeks ago. I wouldn't say they are quite dead yet. Carter Hart makes this team that much better boys. Thoughts?

Yep and JVR being hurt early in the season sure didn't help he's showing his game now. Spending a lot of time taking punishment in front of the net you can't discount this...

Wow! I'm telling you boys now that Hart will help us win a cup in the very near future. This kid has ice in his veins. My question for you is what do we do about Gordon after the season? Is Joel Q still on our future HC or do we maybe keep Gordon? He's done a solid job.

If they miraculously make the playoffs, I think you have to think about keeping Gordon. What message does it send if you don't? If not, you do the full search and get the best coach you can (likely Q).

With how horrible everything was at 1 point its pretty remarkable that we are only 5 pts out of a spot.

Still a very big hill to climb but 30 games left in the season.
