Craig Simpson said that was the 6th post of the night (Hawks 4, Canucks 2)

Somebody should tell Patty Kane that Hamhuis isn't a Buffalo cab driver...

Man, that was a typical 3rd period for Vancouver...They just keep the foot on the pedal and before you know it, you're out of time and the Canucks have the "W".

Not much physicality from the hawks ... No one really to fear
Quenville playing his big guns into the dirt
Liked oreskovichs and lapierres contribution tonight
Sedins looked scary when they were pinned deep defensively

Still room for improvement ... More of a forecheck

I dropped this on the Nucks boards, but I guess it fits here, too:

I know there's an element of home cooking on the score sheet, but hits in game 1 were credited as 47-21

8 for Lapierre
7 for Edler
5 for Hansen
4 for Higgins, Kesler, Oreskovich.

notice how many of those are forwards.
that's terrific forechecking (especially when Keith / Seabook will be playing half of the game each).

i thought they kinda sat back a bit too much after the first ... 20 of those hits came in the first ... but its all good ... they won and they paced themselves by rolling the roster ... while Toews, Kane and Sharp all played over 20 mins and were a combined -3 with nothing to show on the scoresheet pointwise

/I cant wait for Torres to come back in game 3 ... I really want him to "abdelkade" someone ... hell why not Seabrook ... throw that same elbow Abdelkader threw and lets see what the league does ... DO IT!!!

After Bobby Lou, I thought Alex Edler was the best Canuck on the ice last night. Strong defensively and laying out guys.
