has anyone seen the 'video evidence' that Smithson's stick missed?
the widely circulated gif is the wrong angle, and the only other view I have seen is overhead, which doesn't show much either.

weak call regardless, but I have to believe Smithson did get a piece of Lou's mask.

i remember watching live and seeing a side angle. it hit his face. was it hard no but when a stick comes in my face even as a goalie I move my face away.

yup from the overhead you can see Smithson makes contact with the mask ... however, contact wasnt worthy of an Osama Bin Laden gunshot to the head flinch
