There seems to be a rumor floating around that the Preds organization has filed a complaint about Vancouver's "Green Men" ... talking with both David Poile and Coach Trotz, that is completely false. The Preds have made no request to the league what so ever. In fact, there's a rumor they will be in attendance at tonight's Game 3 in Bridgestone Arena.

During his press conference today, Coach Trotz talked about the fun and passion from both fan bases and how it is good for the game; he had no issues with the antics of the fans on either side. Coach referenced the Tie Domi/penalty box incident from the 2000-01 season as an example of fans crossing the line, but didn't have an issue with fans having fun and staying on their side of the glass.

I agree. if they were dumping stuff over the glass or risking injury by kicking the glass I would agree with the restriction. but apparently its "distracting" the preds players in the box. um their pros they shouldnt be distracted by that. but trotz made teh call and got the warning imposed.

With the Sharks up 3-0 in their series, Vancouver would do themselves a favour getting this series over quickly if they are going to win it. A rested San Jose in the WCF is not appealing.

yup... they've made it a lot harder than it should have been.

- 7 games (incl overtime) vs Chicago... that series should have been closed out in 5.
- double OT in game 2, which was a minute away from a regulation win... and it was a loss, so that means another game needed
- Haven't held a 2 goal lead since game 2 of the Chicago series.... no chance to ease up for a period or two

Still probly going to be a 6 game series I doubt this will end in 5, at least I hope not...

Preds have to win tomorrow though. If they lose, then Vancouver will wrap it up at home, imo.

has anyone seen the 'video evidence' that Smithson's stick missed?
the widely circulated gif is the wrong angle, and the only other view I have seen is overhead, which doesn't show much either.

weak call regardless, but I have to believe Smithson did get a piece of Lou's mask.
