The whole question is retarded. It's a team game. Who would win 1-on-1 is irrelevant, and IMO that whole 1-on-1 concept is what's wrong with the game today.

Lebron can go on to break every record Mike ever had, and he may very well do that (there has certainly never been a player of his size and athleticism) but he will never top Jordan's legacy. Jordan invented it. Lebron imitated it.

**I also think there should be an asterisk or something by Kobe and Lebron's "records" anyway, for not going to college.

That only makes it more impressive. LBJ had the best rookie season we have ever season with no colllege, that's insane.

But yeah I agree with the 1-on-1 point. And Lebron isn't trying to be Jordan, everyone else is comparing him to Jordan and he doesn't want it or care.

Meh. Comparing them is futile. The science of sports has evolved. From trainers, to equipment, to nutrition, to *cough-steroids-cough*, and whether Lebron likes it or not, he and every other player in the NBA wanted to "Be like Mike" at some point, so don't give me that, he doesn't wanna be Jordan crap...get real.

Hodges and Paxson were great 3-pt shooters. Armstrong wasnt bad just 50%. Grant got 15 and 10 and pretty good defender.

And considering Pippen was the guy that locked down the opponents' best player and put up 20 a night.

No shit, growing up! He wants to make his own legacy now, lol he isn't a kid anymore. And now LBJ is going against guys on roids. WOW, even more impressive. That's is why Lebron is a team player and Jordan was a "ball hog", I would say Kobe wants to be like Mike more.

Y'all are still missing the point. MJ is STILL the greatest player to ever play the game.

I'm done.

during a stretch of games at point guard in the spring of 1989, Jordan had triple-doubles in seven consecutive games.

Jordan did what was needed.

I got your point fine...in a hypothetical 1-on-1 game, you'd take Lebron. He's a bigger, stronger Jordan.

Sorry Lebron already has 7 more than MJ did in his career. But LBJ has missed about 50 just barely, could be much more.

And btw...MJ got his first ring when he was 28, LBJ did when he was 27. So the winning has no argument right now.

I don't care if he wins 10, he will never be what Jordan was.

years in the league would be a more accurate comparison than age. Since Bron Bron skipped school.

Plus Jordan didn't have to be a whiny bitch and demand a pre-arranged, blockbuster 3-man trade.

The above statement is one of many reasons he will never eclipse Jordan's legacy. Jordan transcended basketball. I don't believe James ever will. I'm not sure it will ever happen again. It's like the Beatles.

I'm positive if MJ didn't have those 6 rings, he would be nearly as great. So for you to say if LBJ will 10 rings and basically the same numbers but better defensively is asinine.

You can blame the C's for that. Btw it wasnt a trade, it is called free agency man. The Lakers are doin trades.

It's tainted because of "The Decision" and the overall lack of quality of "the game", in general.

You are missing the big picture tho.

Let's put it this way. Let's compare their EMPIRES. Let's talk worth. Money can certainly TRANSCEND just the game of basketball, right? Hell, let's just look at their annual endorsement net worth...LBJ's is 45 million a year. Jordan's is 40 million a year, and he hasn't won a championship in over a decade!? Obviously inflation should give LBJ an advantage as well. You are looking at it purely from a statistical standpoint, and their legacy's are about more than that, or at least Jordan's is.
