So basically you're pissed at me because I'm right, made an accurate statement but you just view it as sacrilegious because you perceive that I have dissed your beloved Cornhuskers and that is the equivalent of attacking your self esteem.

Got it. Sorry I made you feel bad about yourself and I won't do it again.

No. It's that you're needlessly injecting stupidity into a hypothetical discussion. Nobody gives a fuck that 1971 Nebraska would struggle with a modern MAC team.

I'd actually take 71 Nebraska over 2013 Eastern or Western Michigan.

08 gators weren't even the best team that year. 08 Texas was better, and who knows if 08 Oklahoma with Demarco Murray might be better as well.

You could add USC who curbed stomped an 11 & 1 PSU team to that list

Fuck it.

Urban is right.

2008 Florida would easily kick any Auburn team or any Texas team. Ever. It is quite obvious. Florida had Tebow, Auburn never had Tebow and Texas never had Tebow.

Matter of fact, Urban Meyer is the Greatest Coach of all Time. Why? He didn't coach at Auburn or Texas.

No matter what is posted it won't matter.

Bear Bryant a great coach? Hell no. 2008 Florida would have dropped 400 on him.

Darrell Royal a great coach? Hell no. 2008 Florida would have dropped 400 on him.

Bud Wilkinson a great coach? Get real, the game has past him by.

Barry Switzer? Paaalllleeeaasseeeee.

Woody Hayes? He lost to that team up north.

John McKay? Who is that you say?

Bobby Bowden? Most of you probably think he coached at Clemson.

Joe Paterno? I know what most of you think about him.

Needing a miracle from god to barely beat a shitty Purdue team, along with struggling to beat more shitty teams in N'Western, Cincinnatti, Wiscy, and then needing OT to beat an even shittier team than the shitty teams you barely beat in Illinois, takes 2002 tOSU out of any talk regarding greatest teams of the BCS era. One of the luckiest teams? Absolutely. Now, '02 tOSU does receive major points for upsetting the U in OT for the BCS title. But that team is nowhere near one of the best in the BCS era.

The two best teams ever both finished with a loss in the same season. Alabama and LSU, 2011. Nobody sniffed a win vs either team. All wins were 13+ points between the 2 teams. They were so evenly matched the first time that it went to OT. The second time coaching and preparation played a major role, and making field goals of course

Auburn, a school that claims titles from the past.

How can Auburn claim a title from 1913 when 2008 Mississippi would absolutely, positively crush them?

It looks like 2008 Mississippi can add more fictional trophies to their trophy case also.

BTW, those are BCS trophies that Mississippi is showing. Anyone remember Ol Miss winning one BCS trophy, let alone three?

Pretty soon, the SEC schools will start showing some kids playing some video game on college football and claim that as a title.

I don't know if they were the best teams ever, but either one of those teams would trash the '08 Gators.

Can't argue with that logic.

There is no "BCS trophy". That is the coaches trophy from the coaches poll. The coaches poll just agreed to award it to the BCS winner.
