Has there ever been a discussion about moving Posey out of catcher to extend his batting peak? Some point the knees will need it right?

The only reason this is taking so long is because they're checking the runner at home

They're pretty committed to it for the foreseeable future. They've been pretty frank about that for the past few years.

Now discussion on this board is a whole different animal....

It is a huge advantage getting that kind of production out of C. I always wonder if Mauer fell off a cliff from being a catcher for to long, or he just aged quickly. Posey is better than Mauer ever was though.

Wasn't it concussions with Mauer? Or some serious injury that accelerated the process?

I mean at this point Posey is never going to hit 20 homers again as long as he's behind the dish, but his defense is so valuable. And his hitting is as well, I think some fans just get impatient because the Giants have surrounded him with minimal help the last few years and all the pressure falls on him.

Trade time to the Rockies and he will still hit 30-40 hrs!

Take Posey’s rep away, and he is a great #2 hitter. He doesn’t belong anywhere near #3 or #4.

But from an all-world defensive catcher (the most important defensive position on the field, next to pitcher), that is more than acceptable.

As was pointed out earlier this week, Fresh Prince doesn’t throw enough pitches. Every one of his outings is considered a wasted pitching change afterwards.

Fucking A Stamos
He did an interview on KNBR the other day (forget which show) and they asked him if he made any change to explain his hot May.

He said he made minor adjustments to account for some mechanical issues, but he is still using the same stance/swing he has always used.so this does not appear to be a “new” Craw, just a hot one (more so than usual, hubba hubba)

Granted, Johnson is no all star, but I like him. He belongs in the Majors.
