Watched it tonight. I was expecting a series, not a movie, so the pacing wasn’t right for me for the first 45 mins or so.

Basically, it is Highlander, but without the concept of the Quickening.

Good flick, though. Impressive fight scenes, unlikable bad guy, Likable protagonist. Character development. Imaginative kills.

And it is very open ended for future movies or a conversion to a series (pretty easy to do, actually). I will watch more of this franchise.

I felt entertained
I felt invested in the characters
The ending left me wanting more

A lot of time is spent on setup and character development but that’s to be expected. The concept is really good and this could easily become its own universe of possibilities.

I think the vast majority that post here will enjoy watching.

I agree with the consensus.

and feel pretty confident it will be converted to a series. Not sure why but the movie FELT a lot like a pilot episode

And of course if it does become a series they will write off theron

Wasn't a huge fan of the movie... Action was pretty decent but it's not what I thought it was going to be either. I also thought this was going to be a series, turned it on thinking it was and realized it was a movie....

With that ending you would think there would be a 2nd movie or maybe they would make it into a series

this one is based off a graphic novel though...I have not read it.

Pretty sure that is what they had in mind with the casting considering the "twist" in the plot.

Didn't even know there was a book... I'll have to check it out.... Wonder if it follows the movie story line

I really enjoyed it too.
I also thought it was a netflix series. Didnt realize it was a movie until halfway through the movie. Was disappointed because I thought I was gonna get to binge the show (that was actually a movie LOL)

I think that is the trend we are going to be seeing for awhile. Seems like John Wick has set a new standard for shooting sequences/action sequences and everybody else is following suit.

Also I enjoyed the movie. Would watch more if they make them.

I still have not watched it. Considered it last night but I would have definitely fallen asleep had I tried. I can't help it no matter what I am watching

The movie was below average for me I think it was a little too politically correct

like having an all female marine rifle platoon and two gay men being in the squad telling the enemy they love each other and kissed

was a little unnecessary.
