The problem is there may not be any options. The land where RFK stands is Federal land as is the land in Oxon Hill and I don't think there is an option there according to recent reports. Secondarily Jack Evans the guy on the DC City Counsel who wanted a stadium in DC has just resigned due to legal troubles.
VA can't even get a new stadium passed for their minor league team in Richmond and this has been ongoing for years.
Besides talking about putting the stadium where Fed Ex stands now, rumor has it he would move the training facilities there also. That is a hard one to believe because Leesburg, VA is so different as compared to Largo, MD.
Question is where in VA would/could they build a stadium? Northern VA development is wide spread. Years ago when Jack Kent Cook wanted to build in what was the old Potomac Yards in VA he was told no. He wanted to go to Laurel, MD which would have been a logistics nightmare but was told no there too. In part due to the proximity of Baltimore.

24....it was built in 1996 and their first game was there in 1997 because I can still see Stephen Davis scoring the last touchdown I think at RFK.
