I wouldn't mind adding Texas or tOS . Both remind me a lot of UCF and are in states with AAC member .

#UCFacts

I would believe that Liberty would be a good addition for the AAC. The Sun Belt is fixed at 10 members.
They don't want anymore members. Liberty's attendance and stadium size are pretty equal to most AAC members.
And their location is pretty close to other members. I guess the AAC could go after a CUSA school which would
open up a spot for Liberty in that league.

Liberty is gonna be a good school for someone to latch onto.

So it’s down to either Liberty or Texas to replace them in the AAC.

Seems legit

What the A.A.C. needs to do first is move NAVY out of the West Division and replace Connecticut's spot in the East Division of the A.A.C. NAVY belongs in the East Division and having NAVY in the West Division is simply ridiculous. Annapolis, Maryland, is absolutely NOT in the West.

As to who should replace NAVY in the West Division of the A.A.C. - after Connecticut leaves - my opinion is that "West" team should be Air Force. But only if they join the A.A.C. as a full member and not as a football only school. With Air Force in the West Division of the A.A.C. they fit fairly well - geographically - with the other schools in the West Division of the A.A.C., i.e., Houston, S.M.U., Tulsa, Tulane and Memphis.

However, since Air Force (Army) and Navy are required to play each other every year because of the Commander In Chief trophy, perhaps the only way adding Air Force to the A.A.C. would work is if NAVY and Air Force were in the same division, i.e., they would then play each other every year and then each of them would have one of their non-conference games against Army.

Navy wanted to be in the West for recruiting / exposure in Texas. It was part of the deal when they joined.

Sounds like UConn wants to keep their football in the AAC... Mike our Commish who has hugged me a few times is probably stupid enough to allow this.

We don't want UConn without their basketball. It's the only reason they are in the AAC.

True, but most go PSU or tOSU (at least the elites). WVU has a few Jersey kids on the roster, and adding more w/ the new staff. Plus, the B1G was after that TV market. They apparently didn't research much, as no one really watches RU. I miss playing them, and the trips there were great though.
they didnt add rutgers for rutgers.....they added rutgers for the other big10 alumni in the state

I wouldn't normally give VT so much shit but two of their posters were busting my balls on here from the moment I registered on this board. It's been war ever since.

Might as well add Alabama and Clemson while you're at it

As odd as it is, Liberty really would be a good addition. For a school that was irrelevant at the FCS level they have become surprisingly relevant in the past year. An upstart like this is normally a Cinderella story that everyone loves, but everyone hates them because their AD was at Baylor during the scandal and they just hired Hugh Freeze

People hate them but at least they're relevant

Why not? Mizzou is now considered to be in the Southeast portion of the United States!

I've felt that way since they initially had their dreams of moving up in levels.

They can be a solid program and the Delmarva area is a good area to recruit in.

The AAC has the dream of becoming a P6 League. They should accept a fact that Boise taught them years
ago. Once the traditional "names" bolted from the Big East (Before there was an AAC) Boise was set to join and then
backed out, knowing there would be no automatic bid for a playoff/Elite 6 bowl game. Boise's belief was probably,
why travel halfway across the country 4 times a year, when they can just stay out West and save the money.

It's the tv sets they were after not the RU fans . Having BTN standard on every TV in NY is worth more than Rutgers is lol

UConn is a basketball school, and the Big East is where they belong in that sport. Football is honestly probably secondary.

Why you....

Actually not even the most true blue resident of backwood Missouri would consider themself southern. Maybe as smart as the average Alabaman however....
