At Bellagio Saturday morning and go to bet on the PHA_TOR game. Pickard vs Sparks. Said I wanted to bet on the Leafs and before I know it, I have a ticket paying something like $40 on a $100 bet. Huh? Oh, that was the straight win bet. No, no, no I protest. The line is 1.5 pucks, I want Toronto. Yes, I know Sparks is in net. Yes, I know it is the second half of a back to back. Gimme the darn ticket. I want my +180 damn you!
Settle into the poker room and start getting texts. My boy Andreas Johnsson is taking care of me, proving that there truly is nothing between Pickard's legs.
And won the poker tournament. All in all a good day. Thought about investing my winnings in a SC championship ticket, but the current odds for Les Leafs to win it all is only 9/2. Bleah.
And see today that the Leafs are in third IN THE ATLANTIC and BOS with a game in hand could overtake them. This division is the beast in 2018-19.

I figure Montreal will fall back at some point and Buffalo might be better than we expected but I'm not sure they're as good as they've been (coughs in the direction of Jeff Skinner's shooting percentage) but, yeah, tough group this year.
