$200 and taking two days off work. From what I understand, convicted felons with cocaine dealing and multiple allegations of assault don't often have jobs with great benefits or paid vacation.

The fact that he said he only ran this story because Urban is still coaching just further supports the idea that he has no integrity, rather that he just has an ax to grind with Urban. That is pretty much the definition of lack of journalistic integrity - running a story that could have massive ramifications based on the story of one person without actually figuring out if it's credible. He's done it twice now.

They had no response, and he hadn't verified anything the felon dad and his friend said, but he still ran the story knowing it would not only allege a MAJOR charge of racism that wasn't properly vetted, but also thrust a college kid and his sick mother into national news after he was told to stop harassing them. He himself even said he only ran the story because Urban is still coaching, so yeah, as tons of people - including non-OSU fans - have said, this was a bullshit article and he has no integrity.

And FYI - he never even reached out to Urban, Zach Smith, Gene Smith, or anyone affiliated with OSU about the alleged racial slur. Do you think that might have shed some light?

I just noticed — the article literally has the flight numbers and airline he took. Allegiant Flight 1722 arriving in Indianapolis at 10:38.

I’m guessing with that info — McMurphy did the leg work for OSU and confirmed the airline and flight info. It was probably just a coincidence though, he was flying there the day after the incident. As you stated, the credible people, Trevon and His mom have stated, he hasn’t talked to his dad in over 2 years.

Something isn’t adding up. If Trevon didn’t talk to his dad. Why book the flight? Why pay extra money to change the flight? So many unanswered questions?

FYI — you need to read the story again. He reached out to Meyer for comment and he declined thru an OSU spokesperson, it literally stated it in the article.

He also requested any text communication about the incident during the time of the altercation, which the university would be able to retrieve and they never got back to him.

Amen. Perfect story for this — when I was in college, I was deathly sick. I hadn’t eaten in a few days, I was sleeping 16-18 hours a day and throwing up the rest of the time. My parents happened to call and my roommate told them what was going on, it was around 7 at night. About 4:30 in the morning — I get woke up and my mom and dad had driven 8 hours. They bundled me up and drove me to the hospital, where I ended up having bronchial pneumonia. Was in the hospital for 2 days and then they stayed 2 extra days until I was ok.

Parents do whatever it takes for their kids.
