… and if they didn't miss three FGS and if the Packers didn't drop a bunch of passes against the Redskins and if …. you can play that gave every week in every game. Excuses like this is why there are some of us feel the way we do. :noidea: Not sure why you can't say Cousin's had a good game instead of making an excuse. Pretty sure dad and I said Smith had a very good game.

BTW … that infamous call was also made against Matthews in the Redskin game. Most of us felt that was a good sack against Smith. If you watched the Monday night game there were 539 roughing the passer calls, most thought they were poor calls and they are hurting the game.

There was no critique of anything that you said, in truth what I added was in fact something that actually happened in the game, but I get it, you give "reasons" others give "excuses." Got it! :thumb:

Anyone who watched that Vikings v Packers game will tell you that the RTP call against Matthews was particularly egregious. As horrible as all of the others have been, that one literally extended the game. Matthews was flagged for a hit on Kirk Cousins, whose deep throw was picked off by rookie Jaire Alexander -- a play that would have given Aaron Rodgers the ball back with 1:37 left and a 29-21 lead. Game over!

Now, I know that you have a overly sensitive Kirk Cousins trigger, but C'mon man, Damn! It's one hell of a stretch to say that my comment was against Kirk Cousins!

With that said.... I stand by it. The Skins are still a train wreck as long as Snyder is still in the picture.

I still really dont give a crap one way or the other regarding the outcome which makes me believe I'm closer to dumping this team than I originally thought.

Cousins is still astoundingly better than Alex Smith too both now and next season and for the next 7-8 seasons. Look at what Mahomes is doing in KC

AP is a feel good story though but IMO he will be averaging a Rob Kelleyish 3.4 ypc by week 7 just because hes old.

Gruden is our coach not McVay and Kyle which is so kewl too

This post did not age well

Cousins had a lack luster game. Im wondering where that vaunted defense in Minnesota went, another week like the last two and they might be milk carton material.

Flip side Smith is who he is. He can play with a lead, and wont make many mistakes. Our defense being top ten is a damn good sight to see.

Still a long way to go. And I stand by my original statement. We gave up on a good QB, for an older QB. I would have no issue with Alex Smith if he wasnt a product of our front office being dead set on NOT keeping the Good QB we had.

That is all

I still think wether both teams (skins, Vikings) want to admit it or not, they both looked past their opponents and paid for it. Vikings probably more so than the skins

?? For the Redskins are you talking about the Colts game or the Packers game? Colts game I would agree. Packers game - no way. They had an outstanding 1st half. The only real issue is what occurred w/ the offense in the 2nd half - who knows.

There’s no way you can look past a team that is qb’d by Rodgers

Yep - that is true. However the Packers really don't like that good of a team at this time & with a gimpy Rodgers they are going to have a tough time this season. If the Bears even slightly improve at QB they could be a real force in that division.

It’s obvious they underestimated them too me

Yep - combination of playing the Colts & having an overinflated ego after playing Cards. Teams should learn their lesson (especially early in season) - any team can beat any other team (ask the Vikings) & the difference in talent between any two teams is small enough that you can't just go through the motions on game day.

Are there any men left in the world? Reason and excuses --- waahhh.

I have an overly sensitive KC trigger. I feel nothing sensitive at all. The only thing I did was point out that the reason (I will speak for myself only) but know others feel the same ….. this is the mentality that some of us say has been going on with ABCers for three years. Well he played good but. I never said the call on Matthews wasn't a bad call. But lets not give the guy you don't like any credit. That's fine, just hope Smith out plays him for the next three years. I am going to be here every week. Good, bad or indifferent. :D

Smith played the better game last week and Cousin's had to many turnovers. I admitted that right from the get go. I don't need to make excuses or whine.

that might be one of the most fucked up retorts ever posted. LOL..."there are plenty men left in the world" Sportster 72...just ones that don't conflict themselves as often as you do "i will speak for my self only, but know others feel the same" LOL...that was awesome.

I know you cried when KC left...sorry for your tears bro.

This literally makes zero sense with respect to what I posted as a follow-up to what you posted! Please reread what I originally wrote and you'll find that it had nothing at all to do with Kirk Cousins. I clearly spoke about a play that would have ended the game in a way that didn't end in a 29-29 tie. If you want to extrapolate from that some weirdly hidden slight against Kirk, so be it. I can play that game as well and as time goes on I'll definitely be taking things that you will write and make them into something totally unrelated.

In the meantime, take note that there are still men in the world, unfortunately, it seems that some don't have a clue what it takes to be one!:D

There seems to one of two problems here Sty. You are frequently misunderstood by fellow forum mates or you are adjusting the story. Since I know you to be an intelligent man I will guess that you are frequently misunderstood. Cheers my friend.

On the other hand I think most know I am a hot head. Probably not going to change after 62 years. I am who I be. :D

Nah - you are fine. This place cracks me up. As Redskins fans at this time we should be celebrating the team's 2-1 record & at least some signs of encouragement. Not primarily attacking other Redskins fans & dedicating major parts of this forum to EX Redskin Kirk Fucking Cousins.

Let's at least come together on the fact that most of us are Skins fans & enjoy whatever success comes their way. It has not been half bad so far. HTTR

You know what? You are right. HTTR!

On another note, can you believe how bad that pass was by Smith on that first TD to Richardson? And he threw into double coverage! It should have been an INT if the safety didn’t have his head in his ass. Cousins, I mean Smith, got bailed out by his receiver. Why don’t we just mark that down as an INT.

Mitz,what is the tally?

Oh I know I am a hot head but since dad asked us all to chill out I have tried to do that.

The ultimate goal is for the Redskins to be good. It is early and I am not sure who or what this team is yet. In the games they won the Smith through for 30 passes with 182 total yards rushing and 20 passes with 166 yards rushing. In the lone loss Smith through 46 passes and they rushed for 65 yards. So it seems they have a recipe for victory, balanced offense and good defense. I think we all hoped Guice would add a lot to the run game and AP has sort of surprised so far has had two very good games. This just reemphasizes that football is a team game and winning or losing is not based on one person. I expect a big offensive output next game versus NO who have a terrible defense. I expect there is a good chance that Brees puts up a lot of points so it might be a shootout game.

Now who thought that the Redskins would have a better D (28 points less given up) and be way ahead of Minnesota in rushing who has 17 more yards in three games than the Redskins had just against the Cardinals. I expected Cousin's to throw more around 30ish times a game instead of 40+.

In the end I agree. We are Redskin fans so that is who we are rooting for. I will continue to root for Cousin's because I like the guy. I also root for Sean McVay, DJax, Pierre Garcon, Niles Paul etc. :D
