Orange Bowl (Semifinals) - #1 Alabama vs #4 Clemson
Cotton Bowl (Semifinals) - #2 Ohio State vs #3 Oklahoma

Rose Bowl (B1G v Pac 12) - Michigan v Washington
Sugar Bowl (Big 12 v SEC) - West Virginia v LSU
Peach Bowl (At Large v At Large) - UCF v Stanford
Fiesta Bowl (At Large v At Large) - Auburn v Notre Dame

I am guessing Peach Bowl will get the G5 and the last pick of At Large.

Oklahoma has a long way to go to even think they are playoff worthy at this point. If they have the heart and guts they may pull it off this year. We shall see.

Gonna piss people off but I think Bama and Georgia both get in again. I think they will both be 12-0 entering the SECCG, Bama will win, but UGA will still get in at 12-1

It shouldn’t piss people off. IMO, they are the two most talented teams — they just happened to play in the same conference.

It isn’t going to change any time soon either. The PAC doesn’t have a team worthy of the top 5. The Big 12’s best team almost lost to Army.

I’d wager Bama, Georgia, Clemson and OSU is the CFP.

Yes. I hope I am wrong. I just think Michigan is looking like the 2nd best team in the conference right now. And projecting another Wisconsin loss in the CCG.

I agree. One will be 13-0 and one 12-1.

It appears Clem has a cakewalk to 13-0 unless they pull their typical Pitt, Syracuse type game.

It also appears tOSU has a cakewlak to 13-0 unless they pull and Iowa.

Yeah I assumed the latter. But the usual logic that the loser of the CCG misses the NY6 bowls in favor of the runner-up in the East doesn’t hold if Wisconsin goes into Ann Arbor and wins. In that case a 2-loss Wisconsin (with an upset and a CCG loss) definitely goes to the Rose over what is likely to be a 3-loss Michigan.

And that’s if Michigan beats Penn State the week before. I don’t think they do. I think Michigan has at least 3 losses this year even if they beat Wisconsin.

Wisconsin has to go to Happy Valley too. I don’t actually think the BYU loss matters - the Badgers still control their own destiny. But of course, just because they can win @Michigan, @PSU and vs OSU (CCG) and get a playoff spot doesn’t mean they will. Probably lose 2 of 3, but Michigan is the most winnable of those.

It will be fun to watch if Oklahoma manages to run the table and Georgia's only loss is to Bama in the SEC championship.

We always do this though, and then chaos happens and the picture generally gets clearer

Replace UCF with Cincinnati in the Peach Bowl and this sounds about right :suds:

Ohio State struggles at Penn State, they could lose an upset there and then have to hope Penn State loses two games just to make the conference championship

We've forgotten Notre Dame in these scenarios, they play Stanford this week...if they win that one who is going to beat them????
