The one year contract helps clubs build through the draft and from a player point of veiw its great because he does not have to be married to a club but it is dangous in the aspects of if you have to many one year deals IN fa thats alot i dont give a fuck about this team type players.... THIS IS THE BEST WHY TO BUILD A TEAM THROUGH THE DRAFT IN MY OPINION

I think it's good for everybody when you are looking at players who haven't proven themselves over the long term. While you may right about players looking out for themselves more than the team (a lot of players with a LTD do that anyway), they will probably be more inclined to work hard/bust their ass on every play as they are playing for a big contract to come.

Pretty simple formula. You kick ass and show you aren't a one hit wonder for that one year prove it deal, you get paid. You underperform, you pack your bags.

My guess is any if the 4 FAs we signed play well the first half of the season a LTD will be in the works. I could definitely see this being the case with Brown and Pryor.

I would argue that a one year deal causes a player to play at a high level. He knows in order to get another big pay day he has to play well. The perfect example is Zach Brown or even Pryor. Brown had a great year and his salary increased 4 times. Pryor dedicated himself to WR for on year and received an 8 million dollar contract.

can a coach on purpose give the player less time to skew his stats then give him a LTD FOR CHEAP THEN AFTER HE SIGNS A LTD FOR CHEAP USE HIM MORE:noidea:

Sure, it's also possible that a coach gets an itchy trigger finger when abandoning the run game in favor of embellishing the QB's stats because he's comfortable with the guy, knowing full well that he intends on using him less after he's signed.
