Lebron is getting to be too old and has too many miles on his body to be guarding the opponents best player all game long. Especially in the regular season.

He's reached the point that Kobe got to several years back. You put him on the opponents best player at key points in the game and at the end of close games rather than all game. Otherwise, you risk him being out of gas when you need him most.

This. I've been saying for a while now he's got a lot of mileage on his body.

It was that bad of a call, but it's old yesterday's news at this point.
This isn't anything new....these refs have been turrible so far this season. I just found it funny because he gets on people when they complain about the refs.

Yeah exactly. It was a really bad call even for NBA refs standards. I'm not a Kings fan but was bad to see a team fighting for a playoffs spot lose in that fashion.

Anyway back to real basketball talk, The Raptors look like shit. Hard to see the Cavs needing more than 5 games to eliminate anyone in the East at this point.

Of course the Suns start winning games as soon as I thought we were a lock for a top 3 pick. Only 4 GB from the 8 seed lolz

Yet all these other perceived 'contenders' seem scared to make a move.
Maybe these losses will be an eye opener and they will concede as is they have no chance to beat James 4/7?

The bottom half of the West is comically bad. The Kings are 2 behind the 8th place Nuggets and 2.5 games ahead of the last place Lakers. Every team from 8th to 15th has between 15 and 19 wins and at least 25 losses each. That avatar bet we made could come down to the final week after all.

Toronto fans are shit. Throwing debris at the Suns bench tonight. Fucking Canadians can't hold their alcohol. You're playing American sports and bitching when you lose in OUR LEAGUES.

Why are you surprise? Have you not seen them do the same garbage the last 2 years during Toronto Blue Jays home playoffs games?

I thought Canadians were supposed to be overly polite.

That's why I made the comment. Had this been an isolated incident I would've shrugged it off but I remember the Bluejays in the playoffs. It's pathetic.

Yup, that 8 seed is wide open. The trade deadline will likely have a big impact on what goes down as far as which teams buy or sell.

Embiid is putting Philly on his back all the way to the 8th seed. He's gonna wreck the Cavs in 4.

I really hope the Kings sell to try and get a higher draft pick. Doesn't mean they have to trade Cousins, but at least trade Collison(2017 FA) and maybe Koufos or McLemore/Afflalo.

I'm sure internally they have their eye on the prize.
I would hope so.....especially since the Lakers have kind of boxed themselve into a corner in free agency- getting another top 3 pick in a supposedly loaded draft would be huge.

Its like the Sixers or really any team- keep drafting high until you get that one CANT-MISS guy.....as much as lotto picks like Noel, Okafor, Saric etc. help- its Embiid that is going to turn that team around.....the Lakers still need to find their Embiid i think- they have some really really nice guys that can support that ype of player- but if they keep that top 3 pick- they would have a great chance at adding their centerpiece that every team needs. I am not so sure/kinda doubt they currently have their "centerpiece" although i suppose its possible.

When you look at the standings a lot of teams are near the bottom- however it looks like the Sixers are continung to improve....

The Nets are obviously the worst team- which may just give Boston the #1 overall pick which is ridiculous/disgusting.....

but that next tier of teams- Miami, LA, Phoenix, Dallas- should all be right around the next teams....itll be interesting to see how it turns out.

Let's hope the Heat get back to the business of losing tonight (pretty sure they will) and get as many lottery combinations as possible.

As far as the Sixers, yes, I guess, they are improving, but they are still a long ways away from winning anything and the last few years for the fans were beyond brutal.
Sucking for a season or 2 I can support under these circumstances, but I couldn't support what they've done.

that is the thing- in order to guarantee yourself a franchise player- often times you have to really really suck for 3-4 years.....

i mean look at the Cavs--- they "lucked out" becuase they got Irving with the Clippers pick...adding chances/opportunities is crucial.

THe Sixers really didnt get much out of some of those tanking years- some nice players prob like Noel, Okafor, Saric....but you really have to hit big with a Embiid (or possibly/probably/hopefully) a Simmons in order to make it worth it....unlesss you are the Thunder and just hit on everthing like Durant , RW, Harden.

If Miami is lucky enough to get a top 3 pick and a Dwade like talent that will definitely go a long way to expediting a rebuild---- if the player is more Jahlil Okafor instead of Joel Embiid- then hey- you still have to find that centerpiece guy.

its why with the Lakers- its okay if they dont add a "centerpiece"...maybe they currently have one, maybe/probably they dont.....but when you add that centerpiece player- it just slots everyone else into roles that they can handle/thrive in.

Say embiid is a centerpiece guy- that allows simmons, saric etc..to fall into their ideal roles.....if Booker is a centerpiece guy it allows Bender and Chriss and Warren to fall into their best roles.

If the Lakers got a "centerpiece" guy with a top 3 pick in a loaded draft like the upcoming draft it allows everyone else to slot down and makes everyone just so much more comfortable/able to handle their roles..

its kind of like adding a big time closer to a baseball team- when you do that- the former closer moves down a notch, the setup guys move from the 8th to the 6th, 7th, etc... and the whole bullpen is sronger and better for it.

and as for that win for the Heat the other night--- obviously Waiters willed them to that one. Its not often he has games like that- but its what makes him so frustrating/intriguing- see that kind of talent here or there and wondering why it can never happen on a regular basis.
