So the Warriors been doing this thing in their last 3 games where they keep their opponent in the game for the first half then run them out of the building in the 3rd quarter. Hoping that trend comes to an end tomorrow night

holy shit balls.

49 point loss? To one of the worst teams in the league?

I am becoming more and more convinced the Lakers are gonna have a GREAT shot at keeping their top 3 protected first round pick.

@gordontrue is lebron scared to guard top players at his position from start to finish? I'm curious

Nah. It rarely happens in the regular season but I don't think it has anything to do with being scared. I think its more a Lue thing, not wanting to overtax LeBron in a regular season game. In the playoffs we'll see it more.

Leonard had a phenomenal game and when LeBron did switch onto him in the 4th... he did a great job of containing him. That was really the only stretch where Kawhi wasn't great - when LeBron was on him.

Thats been their trend for like the last month.

Before the magic game... I saw a stat that the Warriors were trailing or tied at halftime in 8 of their last 16 games... but after the 3rd qtr their average lead was like 20.

Maybe he was but considering Leonard plays his position, would be nice to see him guard Leonard for most of the game instead of having Shump/RJ guarding him

One more thing...

LeBron brings a lot more to a defense than just his one-one-one defense (which is great when he's locked in). When you put him somewhere where he can roam and help and be the vocal guy on defense... you're getting something out of him that you can't get it if you stick him on the best player the whole time. Shump, on the other hand, is at his best defensively in one-on-one assignments.

Lebron is getting to be too old and has too many miles on his body to be guarding the opponents best player all game long. Especially in the regular season.

He's reached the point that Kobe got to several years back. You put him on the opponents best player at key points in the game and at the end of close games rather than all game. Otherwise, you risk him being out of gas when you need him most.

So can we use that excuse with Whiteside then as to why he didn't get voted in and why our record is shit? And OKC's roster isn't as bad as you make it out to be. Donnovan can also flat out coach. Hell, had they had him in place from the getgo and never went with Scott Brooks - the Thunder may have even won a title with Durant/Westbrook/Harden.
I've been saying for years that coaching was where their problem was.

LMAO @ people really thinking fans vote for all stars based on winning. Fans vote for their favorite players and guys they seem as likable. Once again if fans were voting based on winning, how do you explain the fans voting for Wade over DeRozan since winning is so important? It is not like the Thunder are 14-28 or something. They're 25-19 and tied for 6th place in the West. They're winning their fair amount of games. It is a bad team that he is going to lead to the playoffs.
I'm not following your argument here.
If you think that fans vote for their favorite players regardless of the success of said player's season, then why are you shocked that Westbrook didn't get voted in as a starter?

That is a terrible comparison. Like very bad. The Heat are 13-30 with the 3rd most losses in the NBA. The Thunder are tied for 6th and 6 games over .500.

Westbrook is doing more with this team than most stars/superstars would. The only players who would do better with this roster are Lebron and KD. If Steph Curry was on this team for example, they would not win as many games as they're doing with Russ.
Yet, he's not a fan favorite-thus not a starter for the All-Star team.

I'm sure internally they have their eye on the prize.

It was that bad of a call, but it's old yesterday's news at this point.
