Ausmus said the Tigers have mapped out a pitching plan from now until the end of the season, although it's written in pencil because of the uncertainty about the fifth starter.

OPTION 1:

Tuesday: Boyd

Wednesday: Fulmer (normal rest)

Thursday: Verlander (normal rest)

OPTION 2:

Tuesday: Boyd OR Zimm/Sanchez

Wednesday: Zimm/Sanchez OR Boyd

Thursday: Fulmer (5 days rest)

OPTION 3:

Tuesday: Boyd OR Zimm/Sanchez

Wednesday: Zimm/Sanchez OR Boyd

Thursday: Verlander (normal rest)


They can't skip Fulmer any more

If they don't take two out of three in this series, Fulmer really shouldn't start again imo.

I wouldn't tell doug this, but Cleveland could be had. They have lived for months on their early season spurt and the Tigers (and KC) mediocrity. I don't see Cleveland being any better than Detroit over the last couple of months. With the Tribes rotation scuffling - they appear a lot like Detroit. Those early season loses to Cleveland will now doom the Tigers. Too bad.

So is his bat. Any way that this guy can be gone? Too old, too fat too expensive @$16 mil per.

If Detroit decides to do a major tear down, I imagine VMart would have some value in trade....but I doubt a lot. He is owed $18mil for two more years and has a history of major leg injuries. Any team that wants him, isn't going to give up a lot in return....I imagine it would be more of a Tiger salary dump.
VMart stays unless Illitch gets pissed and gets out the broom.

Three games behind in Wild Card race. Tigers drop two MORE to the Indians, and I think their playoff chances would be just about over. Hard to believe Tribe has taken 12 of 13 games.

But, on the positive side, their is the "Consistent One", my new hero, Justin Upton. Ohhhhh, how I look forward to five more years of him solidifying play in left field.

Actually, I'm kind of sick of the 2016 Tigers. Couldn't they just agree to accept an 81-81 record and call off the rest of the season. I really think this team needs a big re-working. Although I doubt I'll see it.

Verlander was the only guy that showed up. The other Tigers are a disgrace.
