As of now, Michael is #1 on the depth chart, with Carroll saying that they want to ease Rawls in, as the Oakland game (all two carries of it) was his first action since last season. So it doesn't sound like Michael is gonna keep the #1 spot all year, but if he puts up some good efforts while they work Rawls into the mix, I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if those two formed a two-headed monster of sorts for the rest of the season. Then there's Prosise and Collins to think about. They're gonna want to get those guys involved as the season goes on too. It should be interesting. I know running back by committee isn't the most appealing idea, but if they're doing it because all of those guys earned their touches and not because Michael fizzled and Rawls isn't all the way back from his injury, I think it would be fine.

As for the Miami game itself, I think the best way to combat their defensive front is to get the ball out quickly on passing plays so the offensive line doesn't have to try to hold them off for very long and go with some outside runs to get them winded before running it up the gut later in the game. They could probably do the same things against the Rams and Jets too.

Defensively, they need to make sure to wrap up the ball carrier. That seems like it should be common sense, but they've had trouble doing it at times during the preseason. Beyond that, I think the pass rush can get to Tannehill and keep him from getting outside the pocket too often. He's pretty mobile, so they can't let him get outside or give him a running lane. He'll take it if they do.

I got a fantasy related question, do you guys believe that right now tyler lockett is the #1 or #2 WR on your team? Or is he really behind a guy like jermaine kerse? Also what do you believe is his role based off watching preseason? Thanks
I think when the dust settles, Lockett will be the WR with the 2nd most catches on the team. He may not "start" over Kearse, but I think he'll have more catches for more yards and more TDs. A better fantasy option, for sure. I drafted him late in 1 of my leagues. Kearse hasn't been touched in any yet -- not even the one we started with Hawks fans from this board.

Also does anyone think christine michael can take rawls job at all or atleast be a RBBC?
I think it's a real possibility, especially the first 3 or 4 games. It's been said of PC this week on local sports radio that he prefers to use a combo of backs and go with the "hot hand" as opposed to having 1 guy that gets the great majority of carries. Obviously you adjust a bit when you have a guy like Lynch, but the thinking here among the guys who cover the team is that there will be a bit of a committee approach to the run game.

Well fuck my ass.

Webb or Odhiambo to fill in it sounds like?

Britt filled in for the time being but I hope that's not solution since he was doing real well at center. I guess with Webb and Odhiambo its a coin flip. Shit timing on this injury.

Considering how Britt looked at guard and his progression at center, I would hope not as well.

I'd agree that Lockett will be the 2nd best Seahawks WR for fantasy (and real life), but he will be feast or famine week-to-week. No better than a WR3 because of the low floor.

With Ifedi out for a bit now, there should be a greater emphasis on getting the ball out quickly than I'm sure there already was. I do hope that they keep Britt at center despite his experience at playing guard mainly because the continuity is already going to be upset at one spot and there's no sense in upsetting the continuity at a second spot when you have guys on your team capable of filling in without having to move anyone else around.

Hmm interesting. Completly 2 different views about rawls on this this board. The dude just put up 5.6 yards per carry. Which was easily highest in the league. Hard to bench a guy that did that lol. Also 15th overall in the league in rushing yards

This has a 17-13 game (likely win) spelled all over it.

Strange.... usually high ankle sprains last longer than that. I think....

Agreed this is strange for the type of injury so hopefully its just a mild sprain. I also hope it won't be a nagging injury that'll plague him throughout the season which tends to happen.

Man, the spread on this game is absolutely ridiculous. Easy money for Miami to cover. On paper Seattle is still the better team but they have way too many kinks to work out to come out winning by more than 10. The Dolphins D line is solid and you can bet your ass Miami is going to have success running those intermediate routes with Landry, Parker (assuming he plays), and Foster coming out of the backfield. They're going to look to sustain long drives and wear out the defense while keeping Russ off the field.

Lockett and Ryan are going to be big in this one, at least in the first half. I'm predicting a real slow first two quarters for the Seattle offense so field position is going to be big. They'll adjust and come out strong for the second half as usual but they're going to need to avoid stalling out in the redzone if they want the win here.

I'm going 23-20 Seattle. Russ gets it done with his feet on a late TD, D holds strong to finish it off.

Nope, think many anticipate the usual sluggish first half in this game. Be nice if that's not the case.

If they started on the road again then i would be a little worried to a sluggish start. Being at home I think the offense will get going early.

I wont be surprised if we march down the field on the 1st possession and score a TD.

I think it will be a close game. Miami has always given Seattle problems in the past and there is uncertainty on how our makeshift line will hold. I'd say Hawks win but it will only be by 3 or 4 points.
