The Last Movie You Watched (no spoilers)

I like all of the Bourne movies pretty equally. Maybe Ultimatum the most.

Saw Suicide Squad. Liked the actors including Leto. Script was awful, villain was stupid, low iq wish fulfillment in pretty much every scene in the second half of the movie. Will Smith and Harley Quinn were notably good even if I have a few script complaints.

Avengers: Civil War

Finally watched it and gotta say its pretty damn good. It had some flaws, and I didn't care for how hard they tried to inject comedy into the movie, but overall it was a badass action-packed movie. I was impressed at how well they were able to introduce all the new characters while maintaining the storyline and not getting lost (something the DC universe has yet to figure out). The black panther character was the only one that felt a little forced to me. For such an unknown character you would think they would try to focus a little more background on him. But they did a decent enough job of making it pretty cut & dry to the point where you could gloss over it. Only thing they should have elaborated on was his armor. All they did was have Cap ask if it was the Vibranium (what Cap's shield is made out of). But how it was enhancing his speed & strength was unknown.

Still enjoyed the film. Loved seeing Spiderman get in on the action.

Getting too in depth on a character'intro in an ensamble movie turns it into a DC flick. I assume they will get more into that stuff in his solo movie. A:CW was just an amuse bouche of him...

Why do I continue to torture myself with this YA garbage? Hunger Games was OK, but Divergent, 5th Wave, Maze Runner are all absolute garbage. Do not waste your time with insult of a flick.

I saw the first two Divergent movies with my then girlfriend and while she liked them, they left no lasting impression on me one way or another. As a result, I have no plans to ever watch that one (apparently from the box office gross compared to the first two, a lot of people felt the same way) or the last one whenever it comes out.
As for the Hunger Games, the first movie I enjoyed, the second one wasn't too bad but those last two definitely weren't good.

Whisky Tango Foxtrot

Wow. This movie was VERY badly marketed. I went in expecting a comedy/"you go girl" flick. While it had very mild "you go girl" undertones (even mentioning it is over-stating it), it was not a comedy at all. Actually a pretty good movie.

7.75/10 (not quite an 8, but a 7.5 didn't feel like enough)

I don't get how two, let alone three of these shitty movies got made. I watched the first one and it sucked. I hoped the second one would be better but it sucked. I wont watch the third. I think they picked the wrong actress for the movie. She should stick to dramas.

Maze Runner looked cool and it stunk. Mainly due to them not using the Maze. The whole time I'm watching...I'm like, lets get in the maze. STFU! Get in the fucking maze!

Captain America: The Winter Soldier - Pretty damn good; Steve Rogers is kinda like "What if Jason Bourne had been a Boy Scout?".

And of course, Scarlett is just smokin' hot.

Cap is Marvel's semi-take on the Superman character, and I think they did a much better job with it.

Winter Soldier is certainly in the top 5 comic book movies of all time. Probably top 3.
