Even if it was later thrown out of court, if I had ever been arrested on a possession charge and a weapons charge you can bet your sweet ass that my Old Man would have been a bigger problem for me than any prosecutor would have been.

I feel certain that both have been suffering the consequences for awhile now and will continue to do so. I also doubt that Saban will let any of us know what that punishment is, even if it is game suspensions...Nor do I think he cares if any of us think it is too much or not enough.

While I don't think Saban needs to elaborate on "internal" punishments for the players, I think that if game suspensions are involved, we'll probably be able to figure it out.

Well the weed should be legal to start with. And it's already legal to carry a gun, so I don't care very much about the whole thing to be honest.

However, it's still pretty stupid on their part in general. To add to that, how do you get caught with less than a gram? Don't people know how to eat their stash anymore?

Yeah, he's already said that he's handling it internally like usual and that he's not be discussing it further. We'll know come game 1 if anybody is suspended.

Oh, there would be a drop off, Cam's a stud and experience means a ton. I just don't think it'll be a game changing drop off. Saban has had some pretty decent recruiting classes over the last few years so it's not like the backups are scrubs. Not to mention, I'm sure he's been treating this current situation like Cam's gonna miss some time and has been giving the backups more 1st team reps against this ridiculous D line in preparation to make sure he's got somebody ready. He'd be stupid not to have imo.
