Eh everyone knew this would be the outcome. No one actually thought they were going to charge an all SEC Bama, lineman.
Mr. Jones should have just stuck with this instead of the ridiculous AC line. Pretty cut and dry.
Thanks, man. It's been tough but we're just glad it's all over with. The "Tuskaloosa Taliban" wins again...not surprised at all, that's the way thing ROLL in the deep south. congrats on the dropped charges.
Was thinking the same thing.
Was thinking the same thing.
Funniest fan question I can ever remember was during FSU's fail #AskJameis campaign:
"Jameis, Train A is traveling 35MPH East 100 miles away from its destination. Train B is traveling 40 MPH West 110 miles away from its destination. If both Trains left the same train station at the same time, why did you r*pe that girl? "![]()
I always hang out at parks with a gun in my lap ready to blaze up. That's how we do baby.
Agree. When I postulated before that the felony charge would go away, it was because I figured that they would make an agreement of some sort. But losing the will to prosecute due to the effect it might have on an accused criminal's life is just ridiculous. The fact that this happened in the wake of the Brock Turner case is particularly troubling. As a prosecutor, I really hope that this quote isn't real. Refusing to file because of joint possession issues or a potentially illegal search is fine. The above quote is not.
No doubt. I've heard even the geese will rob you blind if you don't go strapped there.I think it's standard protocol when in Louisiana. That place gets fucky.
If they had spent their time sweating as garbage collectors, they would have been prosecuted. It is their special status as athletes that prevented the case from going forward.I bet if they were white they'd been charged.
One of my thoughts was that this statement was a breadcrumb trail that was intended to expose the fact that he was told to not pursue the case by someone he couldn't name."I want to emphasize once again that the main reason I'm doing this is that I refuse to ruin the lives of two young men who have spent their adolescence and teenage years, working and sweating, while we were all in the air conditioning," district attorney Jerry Jones told KNOE-TV.
We know why you're doing it, why do you need to empathize it?![]()
