Sproles avoiding OTAs after Eagles fielded trade calls
Darren Sproles is skipping OTAs in light of attempts being made by the Eagles to trade him. Not saying the Redskins should be interested, but he would be intriguing as a return guy now that Roberts is gone. This would of course depend on what the Eagles want for him. But the bigger bugaboo here is his cap number: he's due to make $3.5M this year. If the Eagles want to part ways with him, Sproles will either have to agree to a reduced deal (or have the Eagles pick up some of his salary) or get cut.
Sproles aside, this raises the other issue about who our returns guys are. Rashad Ross looked okay at times as a kickoff returner, but I saw way too many times when he couldn't go passed the 20. Crowder as a punt returner didn't look so hot on way too many occasions.
