This may have been a blessing in disguise for him. He loves the underdog role. And like you said, he's in the fucking Dawg Pound. I'll be paying attention to the Browns more than ever.
You have to admit scooby and the dawg pound is going to be a marketing jackpot. And with his personality and the way he plays on the field. He's going to become a fan favorite quick. I couldn't see him landing anywhere better. There's a ton of potential for success

So other than your favorite team who do you think did the best of the rest?

Really loved what the Colts did. They finally devoted draft capital towards the trenches. Might be a year or two before we see some of the OL develop but I thought they got great value.

So winners and losers.

WINNERS:

Rams are big winners for trading up for Goff.

Steelers stole Travis Feeney from me. :(

Buccs are friggn' geniuses. I'd rather have that kicker than the guard the Niners took in the first round. That's a pick that will pay dividends for 20 friggn' years. He should've gone in the top 15. :mad2:

Raiders: I hate you.

Cardinals stole Nkemdiche. Amazing pick.

Vikings had a really good draft IMO.

Lions did really well IMO.

I'd add the 49ers to this list except they derp'd it up by waiting until the 6th round to draft a QB. Do you actually think you're going to win with Blaine Gabbert Baalke? A few of their picks were great, but come on! QB is kind of important to the success of a team (or in the Niners' case, the lack thereof).

LOSERS:

Eagles had the worst draft of anyone. Sucktastic. Wentz will disappoint.

Packers: Spriggs is a stiff. Clark isn't a great fit for the 3-4 IMO. Not a great draft.

Texans: Didn't think you got great value. I'd take Doctson over Fuller, and Braxton Miller is vastly overrated.

Titans: Speaking of overrated - Conklin, Dodd.

I'm not extatic about the packers draft but I feel like that's how I usually feel and then it usually works out cuz Ted Thompson is somewhat of a mad scientist. I think Spriggs is a huge pick up. He's a fuckin wall on the o line.

Has there ever been a Packers draft that jumped off the charts? Yet almost everyone we pick ends up being a solid player.

Jaguars have the most upside. I think the Bengals and Chargers did a good job

You guys didn't lose many players this year tho did you? SC didn't have as many picks as they normally do. But they also have a young team with A lot of players returning this year. What Iowa did last year may not show in the draft. But it should carry over in college football next season

Yeah, next season should be a good one for Iowa, especially on defense.

CB Desmond King should be a 1st rounder if he repeats what he did this past season.
QB CJ Beathard will be a decent pick, maybe good pick if he's ever healthy and has great season.
DB Greg Mabin has potential but will need a better season than last season. I see him being mid round.
LB Josie Jewell (going to be a junior) was a surprise last season and probably be drafted next season if he goes pro. Could be a 1-year wonder as well.

I can see TE turned WR Matt VandeBerg getting picked up late.
RB LeShun Daniels Jr maybe. I honestly see Akrum Wadley (going to be junior) taking the starting spot during the season, but Daniels has potential.

Im happy to see USC carry the streak to 77 years of having a player drafted. But the truth is Im happier they are returning the bulk of their team this season. They aren't going to have A lot of time to transition at QB before kicking off with Alabama tho. No starter named yet. But Brown looked really good in the spring game. They are loaded at WR. If Juju declares next year he should go first rd imo. Size ,speed, hands and a fierce competitor. Plays through injury at a high level always wants the ball and game in his hands.

Need to add the Jags to the winner list.
Titans will own the AFC S. cellar for the foreseeable future. Must suck to be a fan or live in Tenn.

Teams like Dallas & Jacksonville will have success based completely on chance, so I wouldn't add them yet. If their gamble on Jack pays off, then they had a great draft.

I was going simply on who I think was or wasn't good. I think everyone agrees Jack is good if his knee holds up.

If they get two good years from Jack that's a victory. Anything longer is icing on the cake and likely pro bowl selections for Jack.
Plus add Ramsey, Ngakoue and Day the Jags did well.

Wat? No. 2 years of production from a high 2nd-round pick is not a victory. Maybe if he were taken in the 5th.
I'm talking about him being able to stay on the field. If his knees hold up he should be a prowbowler. As a GM taking a flier on him I think you realistically hope to get two years out of him. Anything more is a blessing. Naturally a healthy early rounder you would expect more. It's the reason he slipped to the 2nd and could've slipped further.

Possibly. But "hold up" isn't exactly quantifiable. He may never be the same, just like a lot of other athletes with similar injuries weren't the same again. He also may not last very long in the NFL and have to retire after 3 seasons. That wouldn't be a good pick.

It's literally impossible to project how good of a pick he will be (or Jaylon Smith for that matter).

I think we're saying the same thing? We're just coming at it from different angles.

Yes, I think so. But I'm willing to make a prediction about how good of a draft pick... say... Carson Wentz is going to be (not a good one) based on what I've seen from him. What I'm not willing to do is make a prediction about how good Jaylon Smith's career is going to be because that would be 100% guessing. That's why I left Jacksonville & Dallas off both the "Winners" and "Losers" lists. They're in a completely different category IMO; maybe the "gambled" list.
