Yes, I think so. But I'm willing to make a prediction about how good of a draft pick... say... Carson Wentz is going to be (not a good one) based on what I've seen from him. What I'm not willing to do is make a prediction about how good Jaylon Smith's career is going to be because that would be 100% guessing. That's why I left Jacksonville & Dallas off both the "Winners" and "Losers" lists. They're in a completely different category IMO; maybe the "gambled" list.
Got you.
I think you're right on Wentz and I think LA gave up way too much for Goff.

Without a doubt, the Seahawks had once again... the best draft, period.

Pretty impresive run until 2008.

Tennessee did just awful.

Their best pick was probably the Round 3 safety.

Dodd, Henry and Conklin tradeup were all terrible.

In my opinion you can't rate a draft until you see how these players perform.

Opportunity cost.

But taking at 24 year old Dodd over Jack is simply indefensible.

Ideally early on I would've gone

15: Jackson (get CB out of the way early)
33: Jack (clear BPA)
43: I'm ok with the trade so lets let that one go
45: Spriggs

That's how you get a (to quote Moneyball) "f*cking A" draft.

Jack has a chronic knee condition.

Annual?...Do you like watching train wrecks too?

So many 1st round picks have been busts in the NFL...you're doing pretty good if your pick signs a 2nd contract these days....point...it's probably easier to pick 1st rd busts than players now.

IDK about that.

imo they were a little silly to back off Tunsil, but there wasn't a whole lot of time to dig into the mask thing...perfect timing on the sabotage...Conklin was the next guy on their board apparently...they had so many damn picks, who cares about trading up.

I would have taken a bigger DE more suitable for a 3-4 such as Jihad Ward, but like the big run stopping NT, liked the S, Henry I didn't love, but not a bad play there...got a G late, and some dpeth kids that might develop...I thought TN did okay.

Still not sold on what the Falcons did. Thought their biggest need by far was someone to hit the QB and that's the one position they didn't really address. Nice to have a safety and some LB's, the addition of Austin Hooper is a great pick, but still, with Shaq Lawson available at the time, I thought if they would have gone with him, this draft would be an A- in my books, instead I give it a C.

Henry was a luxury pick. one that a team this bad doesn't have.

They took yet another 43 DE to try and play in the 34...and he's old.

They gave up way too much, and a team that bad shouldn't be trading away future picks (just to top it off).

they traded franchise tackle capital for a RT who Polian and Cossell both think is a guard.

Rams/Titans trade tally to date:

Rams
1.1 Jared Goff, QB, Cal
4.110 Tyler Higbee, TE, Western Kentucky
6.177 Temarrick Hemingway, TE, South Carolina State

Titans
1.15 + 3.76 (+ 2017 2nd) Jack Conklin, OT, Michigan State
2.43 Austin Johnson, DT, Penn State
2.45 Derrick Henry, RB, Alabama
~2017 1st
(2017 3rd)

Since the Titans gave up their 2017 2nd to get Conklin, the remaining value of the trade is actually less than the 2017 1st, especially since that 3rd will most likely be a compensatory pick.

2012? Well, I though RGIII was going to be below average (which I posted here), but I thought Brockers had the best chance of being an all-out bust. Swing & a miss.

It's been a lot harder to predict a first-round bust in recent years; teams have gotten smarter. If you're taking a guy in the first round, he's usually a pretty safe bet. But I might as well carry on this little tradition.

Pretty sure I nailed the Vaccaro & Dennard picks. Time will tell w/ Jamies Winston.

I'm not so sure about Vaccaro. He bounced back pretty well last year.
