I don't know much about Upton before he came to the Tigers other than what Iffy has told us. But he sure doesn't look like a contact hitter. This begs the question who should be our number two hitter and where do you hit Upton?

Tigers have lost three straight and five of their last six. The losing streak has left Detroit with a .500 record and in fourth place in the American League Central behind the Royals, White Sox and Indians. Matt Boyd is expected to join the Tigers in time for today's game. Boyd has pitched 16 innings at Triple-A Toledo this season, with a 1-2 record and a 2.25 ERA. He's struck out 16 and walked five. The lefty could bring a fresh arm to a bullpen that's been used heavily in the early season.
