Totally embarrassed by fellow flunky, Miguel Cabrera's double and homeruns, Justin Upton felt it behooved him to make a concession to the fans and his fat paycheck and contribute a single to tonight's contest. Of course, to keep in theme with his protest against having to work for a living, he did contribute a strikeout in a previous plate appearance. Stick it to the man!!!

Are they going to keep Zimm in til the 9th is the question. They haven't had to use closer in the past 3 games have they?

Iffy's Three Stars of the Game:*

1. Miggy (big game)
2. Zimmermann (no goose egg, but a win)
3. Aviles (what the heck, he won't get a star often)

*Brought to you by: Tyler Collin's Men's Specialty Rings....made only to be worn on the Middle Finger. Ask Tyler for a personal display of his fine products!

Monday night, Tyler Collins hurt his reputation and angered Detroit Tigers fans. If he is suspended, Collins could hurt his team, which will certainly anger Tigers fans even further.

An MLB spokesperson confirmed to MLive.com that Major League Baseball will review the incident Monday night in which Collins flipped his middle finger at Comerica Park fans after losing a fly ball in the dusk sky.

If Collins is suspended, the Tigers would have to play with a 24-man roster for the duration of his suspension. Other penalties in these cases, such as fines, go unannounced by Major League Baseball.

What is there to review? lol.

He admitted that he simply f'd up in all ways, and apologized. Seems like maybe a fine should be enough to satisfy MLB and of course, the fan base.

I'd laugh if one of our outfielders did that to the Safeco crowd, even if he had an OPS+ of -30

Daniel Norris worked six strong innings in his second rehab start with the Mud Hens, holding the Knights to a run on four hits while striking out five. Reliever Ruben Alainz was saddled with the loss after allowing three runs in the top of the eighth inning. The Mud Hens offense combined for 10 hits, but went 0-for-7 with runners in scoring position. Steven Moya hit a solo home run, his fifth of the season.

Moya: 2-4, HR, R, RBI, 2 SO
McGehee: 2-4, 2B, SB
Bernard: 2-4, SB
Norris: 6.0 IP, 4 H, ER, BB, 5 SO
Alainz (L): 2.0 IP, 5 H, 3 ER, 2 SO

I wonder if we see Bernard patrolling CF today or tomorrow? Detroit might want to send Tyler Collin's show on the road.

I am excited to see Norris soon. Might as well get Moya up here so we can see how much of a bum he can be at the MLB level.

No spot for Moya unless you bench Upton. He can't play centerfield. VMart is a switchhitter at DH. JD isn't going to miss many games. Let him stay at Toledo, build up some good numbers and maybe he can help swing a mid-summer trade.

The Tigers announced Tuesday afternoon that McCann will start a rehabilitation assignment tonight with Triple-A Toledo. McCann has been out of action since April 12 due to a right ankle sprain.

The Tigers also announced that right-hander Buck Farmer has been promoted from Toledo. They announced Monday night that Jose Valdez was being sent to Toledo and that they would announce a corresponding move today. That move is the promotion of Farmer.

McCann is expected to play about four games in the minors before rejoining the active roster for the Tigers. The original estimate for McCann was that he would be out two to four weeks, but it appears he will return on the early end of that estimate.
