Cowboys get Ezekiel Elliot in this draft will keep Romo healthy and put the Plowboys in the thick of things in the NFC.
If they take a QB in this draft, they'll be watching desperate Romo get even more desperate - not a pretty sight....
Elliot or their desperate this year? :thumb:
that's as funny as the Cleveland ass clown saying Dallas would be stupid to draft Ramsey and not Boza.

it's either shock value or there are some clueless football people here

Why are you venturing away from the Dallas board?
Most of the Dallas fans that post on the main board can talk football without getting pissy.
So anybody that disagrees with you is an "ass clown?"

Why am I venturing away from the Dallas board? LOL....I was told the general board was exactly where thick skin was required due to all the "pissy" stuff. Who decides when a post is pissy? You?

actually over the years there have been thousands of posts in disagreement when my opinion. It's all good. It's the ass clown football statements that tend to get me to chuckle. But Hey!...you know your stuff, Dallas's season hinges on drafting the OSU RB top of round one. :thumb:

The Titans Rams deal actually impacted Dallas in a positive way. The player they most covet could now fall to them, Jalen Ramsey, if the draft has both the Rams and Browns take the two QBs and the Chargers take Tunsil which is a given with how bad their Oline has been lately.

Your talking about the best overall player in the draft and fills a need on their team. They could take Bosa. But I think they'll take Ramsey in a nanosecond if the Chargers go Oline.

Elliot won't make it past the Eagles at the 8th pick. They'll be fisting themselves if he's there.

Dallas might look at taking a QB in the 3rd or later rounds as a project, but they're not landing Wentz or Geoff now, so it's Romo for 2016 and a whole lot of :hope: about his collar bone. Considering Dallas is coming to Seattle for week 3 preseason, I bet Dallas won't even put Romo out there for more than 1 or 2 series, if at all. Not when Seattle will have Bennett, Avril, Clark, Chancellor all out there.

You think they should draft a QB. They have one of the best in the league.
I think they should draft one of the best RB's to show up in years. Dallas was competitive with a running game.
You have your opinion, I have mine. The Cleveland "ass clown" has his.
The Dallas board was decimated by pissy folks like you a while back. While that is my opinion, it is also the opinion of many Dallas fans too.
Yes, you can get pissy here but when you do it in an honest football discussion it seems you really have nothing to add......

I agree with Dallas picking a QB later. My personal opinion is there are other QB prospects that are as likely to turn out to be good QB's

A lot of people are worried about Romo's collarbone. Once healed, a broken collarbone is no more likely to break than an un-injured one.

opinions vary on who and what are pissy folks. I've always thought it was in the statements made, the agenda's, the baiting and the name calling found in the posts. I remain flat out amazed at who on here tells others what they are with total disregard to the shit they post. Your posts seem to be all about the baiting with shock value statements and yet, here you are telling me how I'm lacking and I guess informing me of my board reputation "back then". Funny

I think Dallas should take the best defensive player in this draft in Ramsey and it looks more likely than it did 7 days ago
Certainly a good pick. I think Ezekiel Elliot would have more immediate impact and I rarely suggest taking a RB early.

Sources from the teams that gave him a second-round grade say that in watching Ramsey, he is more special at safety rather than corner. For the NFL, they feel he would be a press-man corner to take on big receivers, but would struggle to prevent separation from speed receivers and sudden route-runners. They believe that Ramsey would have to be moved around and protected in their defense, but he would probably playing safety the majority of the time.

Defense is a much bigger need, besides I think a RB from the 3rd round would be more than fine in Dallas.

Dallas showed their hand with Murray last offseason and everything suggests RB by committee. McFadden is dirt cheap, serviceable when upright and adding Alfred Morris who also won't be running down any special team lanes indicates committee. I agree Dallas should draft a RB, but more pressing defensive needs are there in rounds 1 & 2 before thinking offense.

I wouldn't mind Lynch climbing the board forcing Philly and SF to get desperate trying to jump over each other.

Yeah, staying healthy is tough for him at this point... Jerry better address that for you guy's ... OR fire himself! I know it's not easy finding good QB's , but at least draft a good prospect ... When is the last time Jerry drafted a QB prospect ?
Well, McGee was the last...but not sure most Cowboy fans ever felt he was actually a prospect...

That is a head scratcher since Walter's current mock (not updated for the trade) has Tennessee taking him with the #1 overall pick and you mistakenly left off the first part of their critique where they say Tenn thinks he could be a Sherman or Woodson type for them:

  • Projected Round (2016): Top-5 Pick.
4/9/16: Sources with the Titans said that Ramsey is currently the favorite to be their pick at No. 1 overall. They think he could be a Richard Sherman- or Charles Woodson-type defensive back for them. Two playoff teams have told WalterFootball.com that they have a second-round grade on Ramsey. However, two other teams picking in the top 10 have Ramsey in the top 10 on their draft boards.

The Nashville product was a star of the combine interviews. Teams say Ramsey is a great kid and they love him off the field. He also had an excellent combine workout with a fast 40 and a strong showing in the field work. With Ramsey's character and impressive skill set, some teams are over the moon about him.

The sources that love Ramsey said that while big corners struggle with small shifty players, Ramsey can reroute them easily at the line of scrimmage or cover them up with size and length downfield. They compared Ramsey to Rod Woodson, Charles Woodson, Richard Sherman and Xavier Rhodes.

In 2015, Ramsey had 50 tackles with 10 passes broken up and zero interceptions. Against South Florida, Ramsey had a nice pass breakup and a long kick return, but also got lucky. He was all but beaten for a long pass play after losing a receiver deep downfield, but the wideout dropped the pass. Versus Miami, Ramsey gave up a 58-yard touchdown to Hurricanes wide receiver Rashawn Scott. It gave evidence that Ramsey is a work in progress as a corner. He played better against the Clemson Tigers and their talented wide receivers.
