Young and talented.
The Eagles are young and talented and haven't proven anything in the last three years, the same as my Rams. Good luck this coming season

I think Seattle looks like an 8-11 win team next year depending on how their oline holds up. Not a terribly bad place to be.

I just dont understand why there is this type of conversation on this topic at all. We have all heard many times over that the Hawks would be able to afford a $20 mil QB and not have it affect the team in anyway because of the great GM the Hawks have. Of course they will be as great as ever :suds:

What's interesting is your apparent lack of logical thinking. So, because I post a thread about the Seahawks, I am more worried about them than the Eagles?

Saying the Seahawks are better than the Eagles is nothing to brag about by the way. If that's all you guys got, Seattle really must be about to sink back into the middle of the NFL pack.
LOL, Damn I love America, we all have an opinion.

I'm not worried at all (since I don't live there) with the economy or liveability of Seattle. Just talking about the player's perception of the organization. Some of that is concrete (facilities), some is pretty squishy (the dreaded 'culture')

Cuban did this in Dallas too with the Mavericks. Spent every dollar he could making the players feel special. That 'culture' deal again.

I said that the Seahawks were 'first class' with their organization. You seemed to disagree.

From the Kingdome, and threats of relocating to S. California in the middle of the night, to the richest owner in the NFL, who is committed to the area...

The team has raised its game considerably. I'm certainly not saying that Seattle is the only game in town. NE does a great job at those intangibles too. I'd still rank Seattle in the top group. First class.
I mistook your first class reference. I thought you inferred infastructure. We can put that to rest.
Two years ago I would agree were players looking to come to Seattle. It mainly dealt with the team climate. They were winning and PC is seen by many as a players coach. That can be good or bad depending on your view point. The majority of players saying they would stay at duscounts didn't happen in most cases. Don't buy into this we lost our 5th or 7th best defensive players. That's all subjective. What made Seattle special was the defensive team chemistry compounded with their quality depth. That depth has been decreasing over the past couple years. Around the same time most fans no longer feared the D. They are vunerable as witnessessed last year. You add one or two injuries and they are no longer dominant. That directly relates to lack of depth. Wilson alone kept Seattle in many a games.
Now this isn't a Seattle sucks thread or are done. They will still be a 10 win team. Maybe 1 or 2 more? But they have holes both starter and depth that likely isn't replaced this year? Unless they make some FA moves. The draft (even though) PC/JS have done very well in the draft I as a fan wouldn't count on replacing those starters and quality depth players.

Young? Yes.

Talented? Who give a shit? Its the nfl, everyone is talented.

It's the NFL, some teams have peaked and are on the downside and others are just rising from the ashes of a coach that lost the lockerroom. And that's the easiest thing to bounce back from.

Exactly. This shouldnt be understated.

You are talking about a guy, who, aside from having more money than god, is as deeply rooted in his team's city as any businessman and philanthropist that owns an american sports team. Just the downtown real estate that he owns is enough reason to sustain his presence in Seattle.

It should also be noted that the Centurylink and Safeco tax money has been paid back to the city.
Yet the hotels, restaurants, bars all still have their additional tax added to the fans bill?

Well, there were sharks at the Seahawk's last SB appearance. I did not notice any players jump them. Maybe after the game they got jumped?

Spoken like a true Browns fan.

The fate of the Seahawks relies more on how well the DL plays. If they are as good against the run as they were last year and if they can get their pass rush to be a little more consistent next year, they will be a very good team again. Getting to the Super Bowl involves too much uncertainty to say if they will do that.

If you look at most statistical analysis, the Seahawks have played consistently well the last 4 years despite having a fair amount of turnover. More likely than not that will mean they will be a good team again next year.
