So why then are you so obsessed with Manning stats then?? Thank God he stuck to the game plan.CD, let me enlighten you about the facts regarding those pass happy offenses. I am sure you have read this before and you verify these facts if you like.
Top 10 most prolific passing offenses in the history of the game, only one won the Super Bowl. The 1999 Rams, where they won their NFCCG 11 to 6. Which means that offense was also figured out by a play off caliber defense. It happens nearly every time.
A QB still has not had 600 pass attempts and went on to win the super bowl.
Peyton Manning has always been a one dimensional QB. He btw pretty much calls his own plays, so putting that game on Gase is a little ridiculous imo.
The Broncos in that game were suffering key injuries. Clady, starting center, Von Miller, Derek Wolfe, Vickerson, Chris Harris, among others.
That may have played a factor. The misuse of the talent all year on defense was also a problem.
The fact is Peyton Manning has had 9 one and does for a reason.
