I hope it is true. Alas, I see him going out a loser Sunday.

Yeah, it probably is time for Eli to hang up his cleats.

Don't worry, Brett Favre will come out of retirement after his induction into the NFL HOF.

I know this is a joke, but if there is one player who would, it would be him. Hell, Steve Deberg came back when he was like 50.

Trying to get sympathy calls from the ref's the way the Ravens got 'em in SB 47 in Ray Lewis' last game.

the plus side if peyton retires is that the nfl will probably call off the investigation and save him the embarrassment of going through all of that and getting totally busted

HGH...I'm thinking PM probably did use to help him with recovery, but I don't care. The NFL is just trying to scare other players off HGH by raking a big name over the coals. Absent of some positive test somewhere, this will go away quietly whether he plays next yr or not.

And honestly whether he did or didn't do it really shouldn't be a big deal to anybody. At that point in the NFL they were not even testing for HGH. It wasn't until September of 2014 that the NFL even began testing. Heck the NFL even deemed that because the lock out was happening in 2011 that the NFL actually had no jurisdiction over the players and what they were doing. So not like the NFL can actually do much of anything even if they find out he was using HGH. Also who do you punish if they did try to punish somebody? Manning is most likely retiring after this year so can't really suspend him. If this was happening then it was when he was with the Colts but then again he never took another snap for them during this alleged time. Still not like the Broncos could have known he was doing this as they didn't have team doctors with him during that time. All that to say even if the NFL finds out this is all true I still don't think anything happens other than Manning's reputation being severely hurt.

notice your second favorite team used that excuse of not being illegal at the time as well and it didn't fly well

Who is my 2nd favorite team? Are you talking about the Cardinals? Pretty sure Ankiel did not get suspended after admitting to having used HGH when it wasn't illegal in baseball at the time.

At one time I was a pretty big MLB fan...same thing with the steroid debacle...no testing in place...basically creating a haven for it and then threw the players under the bus to protect themselves.

HGH is a different animal from steroids...yes, you will have the fringe come down on him, and that could be enough to scare some sponsors, but idt NFL fans that are knowledgeable about HGH will care very much...if at all.
