Thing is, there have been guys over the years that had 20-25 concussions. He's a grown man, if he chooses to retire, no one could blame him, but I can also see where he'd want to continue making a better life for his family financially

If he was my son he would have been starting ahead of Tom Brady.

He is a grown man capable of making that decision himself.

No one would blame him either way, but money can only buy you so much. I think his family would rather him be in one piece mentally and live on a little lower plateau. If you can't remember your kids names at 48 y/o due to multiple concussions...it won't be much better for him or his kids/family.

I wouldn't tell him anything.

I would, however, send a memo to the team he plays for that reads something like this:

Offensive line. Learn it. Live it. Love it.

Not only that, but I'd be willing to bet a good chunk of that money is going to go to his care, especially in a declining state.

He's a grown man, but if he's a smart man he'll listen to those he loves, and the ones he'll ultimately be putting in the situation of being his care-giver once his body and mind breaks down.

Steve Young and Troy Aikman both finally heeded the advice they were getting and shut it down. Granted, they were bigger names, but they got cush NFL jobs...not player money, but comfortable I'm sure.

Brain injuries are no joke.

It depends. Let's say he came from a poor background. Maybe the first in his family to make it through college because of sports sort. Playing a few more years might mean not only his children, but his grandchildren will never have to worry about money or school. I know his family would prefer him in one piece, but it's a trade a lot of guys would make

I bet he'd be really smart with a name like that.

He's been misspelling it this whole time and now after his fourth concussion, he finally realizes it.
