Vinovich crew this week. All Broncos fans fav! Maybe good that Manning isn't playing as his record in games reffed by Vinovich is well under .500.

Well the injury list this week is very long. We have 17 names that showed up on the injury report for Wednesday.

Good news/Bad news though on this list.

The Bad News--Looks like TJ Ward is for sure a no go for this week. Vernon Davis and Trevathan are still in the concussion protocol. No idea on those 2 of what will happen this Sunday. Others that sat out today were Ronnie Hillman with a foot injury and Peyton Manning.

Now the list of limited players goes CJ Anderson, David Bruton, Omar Bolden, Andre Caldwell, Owen Daniels, Bennie Fowler, Evan Mathis, Michael Schofield, Darian Stewart, VAnce Walker, DeMarcus Ware, and Sly Williams.

Now the good news is that it does look like DeMarcus Ware will be able to play this Sunday. The coaches are also optimistic about Hillman, Anderson, Walker, Stewart, Schofield, Mathis, Fowler, Bolden, Caldwell, Daniels, and Sly Williams. Bruton said that he thinks he will be ready to go but I'm not sure the trainers feel the same way.

The team because they were so banged up decided just to do a walk through practice today. At this point in the season probably a good idea.

The Raiders injury list isn't quite as long

They did have a lot of players it out practice though wiht

Nate Allen, Neiron Ball, Shelby Harris, Rodney Hudson, Taiwan Jones, Khalil Mack, Korey Toomer, and Charles Woodson all have the day off because of injury. No idea on the expectations of which ones are expected to play. The big one for them though to keep an eye on is Rodney Hudson.

I hate the Raiders; I hate Oakland; I hate their coach and players, I hate the stooge who owns them and I hate their cheerleaders.

I would love to see that but problem is they would have to cut somebody to do it. The fact that they haven't makes me think they believe CJ and Hillman are going to be just fine.

With 4 weeks left in the season the Broncos defense is on the verge of doing something that has never been done before. No team in NFL history has been #1 in total defense, pass defense, sacks, and points per game allowed in the same season. There have been a few teams that were able to be #1 in a few of those categories but never all 4 at the same time. Right now the Broncos are #1 in total defense, pass defense, and sacks. They are #2 in scoring defense though. Cincinnati has them beat in that category with giving up 16.3 points per game while the Broncos are giving up 17.5 points per game. Now keep in mind that is the points given up that includes Peyton's Pick-6's. Reality is our defense is only giving up 15.75 points per game. Unfortunately the stat includes all points given up not just on the defense.

Unfortunately we have two teams left that can score some points. we may limit the bengals but I don't see us keeping the steelers from scoring.

Would be fun to see us check all the boxes.

Couple of great stats...

Right now Derek Wolfe is tied for 2nd among 3-4 DE's in run stops with 26. Have to remember he has done this in 8 games compared to most having 12. His dancing partner Malik ranks 4th among the position group in QB hurries with 32 this season. Also the person beating Wolfe in run stops is none other than JJ Watt by 1.

Our 24-5 record in the division since 2011 marks the highest such winning percentage in a 5-year span ever in the division.

We are also on the cusp of tying for the most consecutive divisional titles in AFC West history. The Raiders did it 5 times straight in 1972-1976.

Speaking of Wolfe, I see it was reported that the Broncos are in negotiations with him on a new contract.

One week Derek Carr looks like Aaron Rodgers, the next week like Kyle Boller.

I hope we get the Kyle Boller version this week.

I'd be fine with the Broncos defense making Carr look like the Aaron Rodgers that traveled to Mile High this year.

I am hoping with Ware coming back and the way the rest of the D is playing, he does way worse than Rogers did.

In fact, I am hoping what the D did to Rivers was child's play compared to what they do to Carr.

Worse than 14/22, 50 yards passing, 140 total offensive yards and no passing TD's? I'll take it!

Lots of questionable player this week and not enough roster room to cut and sign guys to replace them.

Josh Bush might be starting this week. I feel ok with him for a game. Don't want to see it long term.
