Hey man...what a blunder, but for a (short) while he was a special player.

These NFL guys can put away some calories and blow up quickly after they stop playing if they don't change those eating habits. The ones that do it while still playing are just fucking lazy.
lol had to as soon as I saw your post... Such a waste! But glad he showed up during some good stretches for us

I can't believe that so many players don't invest in this. It would be the #1 thing I would tell all my players drafted or signed. Find someone, hire them to make your meals. Get with our team trainer, map out a specific goal, and meet with the personal nutritionist so that the team and the player can be on the same page with how to go about achieving the goal.

Hell, as a team, hire a few and make them available a few times a week to prepare meals ahead of times. Not everyone really makes enough, maybe, to hire one personally full time. Especially those drafted very late or signed as UFA, or coming off the PS. It's a team investment that would, no doubt, pay off (and maybe teams do this already, I don't really know. Not something you typically read about).

My nephew got out of culinary school a couple of yrs ago and got job with an outfit that offers personal chef services that the average middle class person could afford...several options, from gourmet, to veggie ...we used one as a sort of dinner in treat once...4 course dinner with wine for two was about $150+ tip...not cheap, but ours wasn't an everyday type meal...it's much cheaper than a full-time personal chef.

If your body is your job...you gotta take care of it. I keep harping on the NFLPA...I know the NFL is the employer, but you can't expect your employer to do everything for you...the union should have a much bigger presence in financial planning assistance, and general well being services like nutritionists, etc.

56 Got paid!

A friend of mine knows Big Snack, Hampton...saw him recently in HOU...he was financially ready for retirement and doing well in that regard apparently, but man he packed on some LBs he said.

From where was when he left the league...maybe 340...I hate to know what he packed on!

Haha that's scary! But good for him!

I'd be interested to see what Woodley looks like a few years out of the league... Retirement will not look good on him lol.

Side note... It was funny hearing the heckling from Heinz Field when Woodley came into town with the Cards. As soon as he came out the tunnel it was like a dull roar of heckling circling the stadium

Woodley...he had to expect it...lol...I had forgotten he was in AZ, until last week, I thought he was still in OAK!

Scary...it is...I'm 6'3 and back in the summer maxed out at 245 (basically JJ's size)...finally down in the 228-230 range gunning for 210. I can't imagine carrying 300 lbs around.

If they don't start dropping it by the time they get into their 50s...heart muscle gets worn down trying pump thru all that extra blubber.

I have to admit I didnt see Lacy turning into Trent Richardson so soon

Buyer Beware on Derrick Henry

I thought it might be possible, very similar build to Trich....Henry has a little different body type...taller, more like Leveon Bell actually. I think he could go 1st rd, but I'm thinking 2nd.

Getting drafted by any NFL team is like hitting the lottery, get over yourself please.

That being said, there is no reason for him to want out either.

As well as Starks has played, he is no threat to Lacy long term based on talent alone. If Lacy wants his job back, he can get it. If not, he just ends up as another Ron Dayne.
Yes, there's winning a scratcher and then there's winning the powerball.
