Didn't the Broncos sack Cam Newton 7 times a couple of years ago?

Just looked it up, they did sack Cam 7 times for 43 yards, including a safety.

Good catch. I completely forgot about that one.

Congrats cd, nice win...A squeaker but a win never the less....I really thought Minny was gonna win that one even with a 2nd yr qb....
But although PM don't play for the Colts anymore, he seems to have a lucky horseshoe this yr....4-0 is a great start, let's see if he can finish this yr.....Maybe this is his year to go out on top, couldn't happen to a classier guy IMO....:thumb:

Yeah the Broncos have had some lucky breaks but they have also had some things go against them. Drives where they had the Vikings stopped to be continued because of some ticky tack penalty. The Vikings fumbled I think 4 or 5 times in that game but the Broncos only recovered 1 of them. Usually they say teams on average finish the season around 50% on fumble recoveries so for them to only recover one was pretty unlucky. Throw in the Broncos dropped about 3 interceptions in this one. So the game could have quickly turned into a blow out if things go a bit more the Broncos way but hey a win is a win and I will take it whether it is by 30 or by 3. Really liking how this team is looking and the fact that they at least had a small threat of a running game for the first time this year. If the Broncos can get that going man this season could turn out well!

Kubes could make a 1000 yard rusher out of Barney Fife....I didn't get to watch the game ,just here and there, but a win is a win agreed...

Was a great post ( I believe it was Cd ) before gm saying Vikes could be vulnerable on running plays to the outside. Hilman def showed that. Good call.

Thanks...Wish we would have had a few more calls like that but I know you can only test the outside so many times.

The play call that I loved was the 4th and 1 where they had Owen Daniels actually run behind the OL on the play action play where we had something like 7 OL players on the field. That was a stroke of genius by Kubiak and Manning.

Honestly I didn't think the offense did all that bad. WE left a ton of points on the field though with penalties and turnovers. I think around the Red Zone we had like a 3rd and 4 and picked it up to only have an illegal formation call on the play. Those are the type of things that just drive me nuts when we have those mental mistakes that shouldn't be happening at this point in the season.

Also listening to some of the sports stations today they were really ripping CJ Anderson apart today. They said he just looked tentative, can't break arm tackles, and just isn't picking the right holes. This new offense just doesn't seem to be sitting well for him. He honestly had about 3-4 plays yesterday with a huge hole that last year would have been a 15-20 yard game and instead would be 3 yards.

Funny Cd. I was at daughters house watching gm and when they ran that play with Owen I said to her that I never saw that play before and what a great look and play that was. I was yelling for Danielle to " hurry up and turn around ! " though.:). Also regarding CJ, I commented to her that he was slow in getting through those holes and if it would of been Hilman he would of picked up many more yrs on those plays. I just have to think maybe CJ is hurting more than he's letting on otherwise I would be worried that those last 8 games or so might have been a fluke.

This is where I worry that we have another Montee Ball situation. CJ is so worried about losing his starting job that he is playing hurt instead of just sitting out a week or two letting everything heal up. I'm afraid in the next few games he is going to go down for good for the season just like we saw with Montee. Now having said that I really wouldn't mind seeing what Thompson has as he is the best of both worlds as he is a little faster than CJ yet has the power part to his game that Hillman doesn't have.

On Thompson, I agree and am a little baffled why Denver hasn't given Juwan more looks especially if they think CJ isn't 100% and also even if he was, he has struggled to be productive where as Hilman hasn't. To me anyway, a move to give Juwan more reps could only be beneficial to Anderson if he is hurting or not. Recoup and or reflect. Both can work wonders on a player who's having issues. I would hope/think if CJ starts vs Raiders and continues to struggle, we should see Thompson sooner than later.

I though Talib and Harris struggled more then nromal today but Ill take it over most CB's in the NFL. Ware not his best game either, but Miller and TJ Ward really came up huge for us when needed. Pass rush was very good. Not saying Ware was awful but he had some penalties today that made me feel perhaps he mentally wasn't himself today.

Overall great win.. Anytime you win in the NFL and go to 4-0 you are doing something right. :)
Heck it was Marshal that won the game He hit the Football towards Miller ..And You could tell that was his plan was to swat the ball to him

Running game looks like it's getting closer.

Manning had a couple really bad passes that led to 10 points. He needs to watch those going forward.

LOVE the defense. I think they may feast on Del Rio's squad next week.

Finally, I think there were WAY to many Vikings fans in the stands for this game.

Agreed and my son asked the same question. WTF was with all the Vikings fans? I wanted to puke.
