I read somewhere that if there is consideration being made to start the best eleven, he should be in that conversation. I'm not so sure, this is why I'm posting this thread, to get some feedback from you guys.

I'm gonna say no, but basing that knowing Alf's history. If both were rookies and just going off of what they shown in preseason games, Jones is the better looking player. Just brings more to the table. But alf wasn't getting as many opportunities based on his status as a veteran starter so it's not an equal comparison. I will say that I think at some point Jones is the starting RB

At some point this season? Wow!..........Oh wait, are you talking about possible injury or just a coaches decision?

I don't see it at this point. Run blocking was piss poor last night. But I do see him as a nice complement to Alfred.

Jones needs to show against 1s, remain healthy, carry the ball more securely and work on his pass pro. But if he shows consistency in games, we are going to have a hell of a 1-2 punch.

I think eventually a coaches decision. I expect the season to be bad with the skins in trailing/passing situations more. Alf brings virtually nothing to the table in that regards. Plus Gruden inherited him and he's nearing end of contract. I love alf, but you don't pay 1 dimensional RBs. Ideally he signs cheap and the skins can rotate based on situational needs and have good depth. Normally I'd say that wouldn't fly, but alf seems like the kind of guy who would do something like that.

Said it months ago. I can't see management giving Morris big dollars with Jones on the roster. I just don't see it.
