You like Wilson?? Sounds like you have your teeth ground down to a pulp about now?
oh, i like wilson.

i just know what he is and isnt thats all.

if i had to pick a QB to replace brady, hes high on the list. the pats would have to drastically change their offense, but it would be interesting.

Said all along the plan had to have been to wait until the last minute and take whatever best deal was offered by then.

All those Seahawk fans spending hours talking about the franchise tag and buying into the media fabricated scenario have to find something new to worry about. Oh yeah, Kam and his (soon to be short lived) hold out. Clue: He won't hold out long. It's going to cost him a ton. He'll get his attention and ultimately show back up. The team won't/can't change his deal and everyone knows it.

As for how much Wilson got? Yeah, it's probably too high, but that's what the NFL is all about anymore. If you want a franchise QB you are going to pay too much for them.

So no I don't remember Kelly Stouffer or STan Gelbaugh, or Dan Mcgwire but I sure as hell have heard of them.

You should be very thankful of that. Those were dark times indeed. This was Stan Gelbaugh's inspiration..

The same people laughing at the Seahawks for spending so much on Wilson would be laughing at the Seahawks for not signing him.

I don't worry about those people. They talk out both sides of their asses anyway.

Russell Wilson has started 8 career postseason games, which is 1 more than all 5 of the quarterbacks drafted ahead of him in 2012 combined.

Hope he doesn't turn into another one of those QB's who takes his guaranteed money then loses the hunger.

you can review the last 5 pages if youd like.

I'll give you a short (no phun intended) review of the last 5 pages.

Strongo............
I use statistics when they benefit my position. But, will laugh at your attempt to use statistics.
RW is short for an NFL QB. (FACT, he got that one right).
RW is NOT a pocket passer.
RW is a running QB.
RW is a system QB
If you compare player stats, you are comparing them as players. (yeah, sort of)
I, Strongo, clearly know more than you, and I have mentioned it many times in those 5 pages.

Why would I be upset.

RW signed a GREAT Seattle friendly deal. Outstanding.
Did I summarize incorrectly? Please feel free to expand.

yeah, I was just messin' a bit. I actually get why some of the more senior guys would do that. Like you said an extra week or two of rest, in the worst of the heat? why not

there's heat up there?

Seriously though, he does not need these early practices. Let him save some wear and tear.

Especially since he's still rehabbing the MCL tear from the SB. No need to rush him back. Let him do his symbolic hold out.

My bad one decade between Arkansas ending and NY Senate.

Anyway, you're entitled to your opinion. I obviously disagree. He can transition just fine to a post NFL career in politics coming out of Seattle. You're nit-picking details and ignoring the thrust of the argument.

It worked just fine for Largent in a pre-internet world. It can CERTAINLY work in a borderless information age.

All right, let's do this another way. Why don't you give me the giant list of black politicians that launched their political career from Washington state or the giant list of minority politicians who returned home out of tthe clear blue, after 20 year absence, and suddenly began a political career.
