I just hope the Lakers get lucky and sign him to a max contract or something. With Aldridge in the center or power forward and legitimate point guard in the making, the Lakers might need some one like Rondo on a short one or two year deal at the max and the Lakers would be a playoff team next year and a contender in about two or three years
Aldrige is at his peak for another 4 to 5 years before significant decline and would give Kobe a legitimate chance without mortgaging the future with the rookies. The Lakers could sign him and one other legit player or wait and sign another. You need the younger guys for the future, but you need some veterans to teach them too and to make the team a contender in the process
