Yep, I agree Mecca. If you ignore the facts, you'll end up like these poor bastards.

Yep.

It's really sad when you remember the struggles his family went thru because of his Father's drug issues.

On to some happier thoughts...

You ready for the draft?

I bet we are gonna see a bunch of player movement.

I think Boston, Denver and the Knicks are gonna be trading picks/players like they are *etrade.

Cowherd replayed a clip from an interview with Coach K earlier in the year.

Talking about Okafor... Coach K said something along the lines of "He needs to develop an even better work ethic cause he's playing with the big boys now".

That would really worry me as a prospective employer - given that this guy is gonna be a top 5 pick.

Coach K softened the statement by adding the word "even"... but the fact that he is suggesting that he needs an improved work ethic is a bad sign, IMO.

I see what you are saying.

But, he was a man playing against boys when he was in High School.

He probably didn't need to have such a great work ethic until he went to Duke.

That won't be an issue playing with Kobe.

Hmmmm, first I have heard of this. Asthma with Looney and Sickle Cell with WcS can be easily controlled with meds.

Me thinks somebody's trying to get his stock to fall.

Willie Cauley-Stein's "background and medical history" could cause him to fall in Thursday's NBA Draft, according to a report from Draft Express.

Cauley-Stein revealed he had a sickle cell problem in 2013, which occasionally hurts his endurance. Cauley-Stein said he was on no medication for the issue at the time.

Yes, I am ready for the draft and the days following to see where all of these FAs are headed. The top five teams have rumors about them abounding. People trading up and people trading down. Reminds me of Don Henley's tune "Dirty Laundry". The Lakers have become the rumor dumping ground for FAs. Good grief. From DWade to Love to Tobias Harris, Butler, David Lee, LaMarcus Aldridge, Greg Monroe, Deandre Jordon, and Ed Davis. Suddenly everyone is interested in playing for the Lakers. I laugh at most of the stuff. We will know when it goes down. Until then, most of it is somebody's mentations at work.

Wonder what they'll pay teams to take him?

Seriously... his contract jumps from 5 mill to 7 mill, then 9 mill the year after that. Any team that trades for him will be looking to get something for him... not give something for him.

For all the grief that Chalmers gets... he would be a valuable role player for a lot of teams

Chalmers is what he is.
Having Dragic makes him expendable though.
As of now, they still have Zoran, Nappier and Johnson off the bench.

Yeah, I agree from Miami's point of view... it makes sense... I'm sure they would only do it if they kept Dragic.

I was just saying that Chalmers is a valuable piece for other teams and it looks like the Heat are willing to trade him.

Apparently getting rid of Bird/Chalmers will free up whatever is needed to pacify Wade and keep them under luxury tax penalties.

If they can pull it off, it makes good business sense being that they majorly upgraded those 2 positions with the additions of Whiteside and assuming Dragic.

I honestly can see the Clippers biting on this trade and giving up late 1st round (wishful thinking) or 2nd round seeing as how they need depth and you have a backup PG and center that can give you minutes off the bench.

Hell, no.

We have Austin Rivers and Crawford can play point in a pinch.

The Clippers are gonna be in dire need of a backup, or replacement, for Jordan.

But, I wouldn't want it to be Birdman.

Ps. The Clippers have no picks.
