Crawford could be moved. That's Doc's only real trade chip. Crawford and Wilcox for Wilson Chandler has been rumored.

I'm curious how much Doc is going to pay his son.

Yeah, I would be okay with that now that we have Stephenson.

Even if he traded J Crossover, there are still 4 guards needing minutes in Paul, Redick, Lance and Doc Jr.

As for Austin, we get him on the rookie deal.

So, they can still match any reasonable offer.

Thinking about tanking maybe? :noidea:

Dude, they will have traded all their pg's!!

What in the Sam-Hell is going on?!?!?

Did I miss some blowup with Bledsoe?

This would be a STEAL for Phil Jackson because he'd get his guard and Trey Lyles with the Suns pick.

Seriously... his contract jumps from 5 mill to 7 mill, then 9 mill the year after that. Any team that trades for him will be looking to get something for him... not give something for him.

Phill traded for Javelle McGee and ate his contract just to get off the cap floor.

They are always a option.

So the Kings move up 1 spot in the lottery, get an inferior center, and some "other" picks? The Kings should laugh at that and say hell no.

Well, Vlade was a Laker.

Maybe he's doing the Sleeper Cell thang in the Kings front office...lol

The lakers would have to be giving up some picks in this move, and I don't see how first round picks in 2019 or 2020(from a team who by then will have signed 1 or 2 star FA's and won't have kobe which means they should be better) or any 2nd round picks makes up for the drop going from Cousins to Vucevic.

Not sure what "other" picks Orlando has besides the Lakers 2017. This deal seems way too good to be true.

It would be the greatest assist Vlade has had for the Lakers since tipping the ball out to Horry in 2002!

My initial take is that the Lakers are the huge winner in this deal

Sounds like Robbery on the part of the Lakers... depending on what "other picks" means.

If the Kings keep their pick and get Vuvicek?

Sources say that the Lakers, Kings and Orlando Magic have had exploratory dialogue on a three-way Cousins trade that would land the 24-year-old in Los Angeles. All three teams hold top-6 picks in Thursday's NBA draft, and Orlando has a young top-flight center of its own in Nikola Vucevic, who could theoretically fill the Cousins void.

Los Angeles Lakers actively trying to acquire DeMarcus Cousins in trade with Sacramento Kings

Cowherd replayed a clip from an interview with Coach K earlier in the year.

Talking about Okafor... Coach K said something along the lines of "He needs to develop an even better work ethic cause he's playing with the big boys now".

That would really worry me as a prospective employer - given that this guy is gonna be a top 5 pick.

Coach K softened the statement by adding the word "even"... but the fact that he is suggesting that he needs an improved work ethic is a bad sign, IMO.

I think you might be reading a little too much into that. By saying that he needs an even better work ethic, it tells me that his work ethic is appropriate for college ball and he'll need to to step it up in the NBA. I doubt very many of these guys come in already having an NBA level work ethic.

Yeah, my guess would be that the Kings would get the Lakers #2 and either one or both of the #27 and #34 plus a future pick or 2.

You might be right. They are stuck in a pretty bad spot. They're good enough to be 7-10 in the West and don't really have a away to get better.

Well Shaquille is part owner of the Kings so there are two ex-Lakers in that FO in Sacramento.

Lakers would make out like bandits on that trade, and getting to get the number 6 pick which still nets you a quality player while adding a all-star in Cousins.

Big market teams/desireable cities often create highway robbery.

The Lakers suck years are quickly drawing to an end.

A move like this would likely put them right back in the big picture as soon as 2016.

I don't think James would ever have the mindset to try to fight through the West every year, but if the Lakers get Cousins plus get to keep their well earned draft picks, that roster would be younger and better then the Cavs.

Impossible. Cavs fans said they'd be irrelevant for years.
