I hear what you are stating Turnup but at some point, the salaries are so far inflated not even remotely reflecting the worth of the services provided by the player. I think we are at that point right now.
This doesn't really matter. Per the CBA, they get X percentage of that revenue so it has to be paid out. The league itself is raking in cash and are set to get even more in the coming years. The players are entitled to their share of it because they're the attraction. Truthfully, they're worth more than what they're getting but that's for Michelle Roberts to sort out. So fans might not think the 12th man sitting on the bench is worth a couple million dollars but that doesn't matter. Same for Dragic. 16 mil a year (once the cap goes up) for a quality starter that could flirt with an all start team is a reasonable number. The revenue streams and thus the salary cap set the market. It's business. That's what pro sports is.
