Well my thought is one of two things happened. As others have said it would not surprise me if the other 31 owners came to Kraft and told him to back off. Nothing worse than pissing off the other 31 bosses that make decisions that affect your team. Don't want to become the lonely guy sitting on the bus that nobody wants anything to do with.

The other side of it as I have said before in the NFL has more than what was published in the Wells Report. If you think the Wells Report was an exhaustive look into everything then you are fooling yourself. A lot of times things get left out knowing it will eventually be released to the public. My guess is Goodell when he sat down with Kraft told him "do you really want the rest of this to become public?" I mean if there is more information out there and the Patriots have been beating their chest like they have been then the public scrutiny would be even worse than it already has been if you can imagine that.
