Remember last year right before the fatal opening SB snap, there was going to be a thread like this about Peyton Manning?

That was awesome.

These teams today would crush those 70 and 80's teams and not even close

^^^^^^ What Sonny said.

Just the schemes alone would leave them standing scratching their heads.

i agree, i understand the argument but lets be honest Pats won 2 superbowls not because of brady.

Brady gave them leads in all 6 SB's so not sure what your talking about?

No it wouldn't and I have no problem people putting Montana over Brady. I did for 30 years and finally switched order after this years SB. After overcoming a 14 pt deficit vs Balt in second half( never done before) and then a 10 point deficit in 4th Q vs Seattle ( never done before). I understand Pats got luck with the interception, but also NY got lucky with those 2 SB's wins. Guy is clutch and playoffs and has set every record there, with no name guys, 1 HOFer for 2 years in Moss on offense and 1 on D for a few years in Seau in again Free Agency, Salary Cap era

Soo much Pats bashing bullshit fell away after this SB win.

It's only the home schooled kids who keep repeating themselves now.

Ditto. Not point in me typing something drawn out.

What kills me is people that try and argue 4-0 is better than 4-2. As if somehow it's better to get to the championship round and lose twice is better than making it all the way then losing those 2 games.

Next season just got amped up on the fun scale by 10. Should they stay healthy and take care of their business, get a couple bounces of the ball there way, and win it all, can you just hear those kids? lol:lol:

The past few years Brady has some mixed, average playoffs but this year in the playoffs he played just great with some super clutch performances...

You can't separate the QB from the teams he played on and the teams he played against. It's impossible to take that out of the equation. Same with the rules then and now. I'm more than happy to let Brady's record and the performances we've seen him give speak for itself. 1? 1a? it's either one or the other in my mind.

Not if the 70's and 80's teams had HGH. Seriously, Joe Greene on Juice.....come on....

The ''guys are naturally bigger'' is a total myth. It's generally thought today that Wilt made his bones against 6'7'' and 6'8'' guys, but the fact is, the average NBA post player today is only a quarter inch taller than the average post player in the 60's

Babe Ruth was swatting 60 bombs a year in the 1920's. Barry Bonds was hitting 35 homers a year into his early 30's. Then he hit the sauce, and he's hitting over 70....in his late 30's??? LMAO, come on man. They cracked down on steroid testing in baseball, and how many guys hit 70 last year? 60? 50? 40? Everything in the 1920's wasn't fully automated, everything men did coming up was manual labor. I remember my Dad and Uncles when I was a kid, they didn't have 20'' biceps, but they all had some Popeye forearms...

A lot of the kids today start juicing while they are still in high school, nearly all of them when they are in college. Juice the players of the 70's and 80's like todays players and they are just as good or better. Bo Jackson and Deion Sanders came along, what, 25 years ago? Then came Randy Moss. Now there's Megatron. Every generation has their studs

He probably was the only one not on juice cause only 1 alive on Steel Curtain. WTF does height and NBA have to do with anything? But if you want to go there, back in 20's avg height for man was like 5'5 then in 70's 5'9, now its 5 11 . Guys today are bigger and stronger and no question about that and its not a myth. There are more suppliments like creatine, argetine, tauresine, nitrogen etc any more protein products. Look at bodybuilders from 70's and 80's and today, not even close. Back in the day there were basic gyms, today there is so much more, cross fit,Core, pilates, machines etc. You think there were 340 OL men back int the day, as well as DL ,LB etc. They are bigger, stronger and faster
